    kitchen carpentry and more carpentry! i'm loving the grey + wood combo ! Shoe cabinet's internal adjustable shelving: and not forgetting... the drawers in the shoe cabinet for socks and probably to keep the bf's tools for his road bike)

    super love this table and was almost tempted to buy it but unfortunately i can't have this as my patio dining table for practical reasons. too costly a table to be placed outdoor even though the patio is sheltered glad to see that you chose it as your dining table!

    thanks! lots of carpentry = $$$$$$$$ gone LOL actually, the flooring is the original parquet flooring by the developer.. we just stained it to a darker shade.. but it's not really completed cos they going to sand it again & do another layer of staining or something... not sure the technicality of it... tried to save money by not changing the flooring since it's new... thus only changing the flooring for the kitchen area as i hacked down the wall to create an open concept kitchen

    another exciting and hectic morning as i shifted the stuff in my warehouse storage to the new apartment and unfortunately the sky decided to have a heavy downpour! nonetheless the job was done within 1.5hours by a team of 5 guys and was glad that everything went smoothly despite the rain. so i was at the new apartment and i was really really excited over the carpentry work done... the apartment is looking more like a home now that the carpentry is about 50-60% done! YAY! i must say that i'm very happy with the workmanship although found a small problem for the drawers in the shoe cabinet... not really closing as smoothly as it should be.. will get them to rectify the problem next week some pics i took today~ the shoe cabinet at the foyer: chose to do with mirrored doors so that i could see how my outfit matches with my shoes hehehe plus it could help to create an illusion of a larger space i guess? the open kitchen:

    congrats to you! let me visit your place when it's fully dolled up ok? as for my place, i think still need some time before i could move in.. have you gotten your bed frame yet? it's supposed to be in this month... hvn't heard from AIR still... anyway no hurry for me.. as u can see.. the carpentry is not fully done up yet but it's coming along quite well... will post up the pictures shortly

    the ID also spray-painted (i think) the color of all the original doors to a dark color.. bye bye ugly orangey-brown doors! before: after: the door frames have been painted too:

    today is a BIG day .... 10 october = carpentry day! so anyway dropped by on-site during lunch today to take a look.. i must say i was really excited... i was just outside the unit and i saw these! looks like carpentry are all delivered... it's basically EVERYWHERE and all over the apartment! even though the carpentry are delivered today... it would take them some time to fix everything up. However, they managed to place the bar counter up and i was pretty pleased with it! Showed to the bf (via msg) and he's getting excited too!

    on a brighter side, at least there's room for rectifications... maybe the chalk paint will look great as well! the beauty of industrial look is that it's supposed to look a little run-down anyway.. ha ha ha i'm sure ur place will turn out great greg!

    hello mr merry, i using 27 single recessed downlights, 8 single recessed dimmable downlights and 3 double recessed downlights! i have ZERO cove lightings in my apartment.. is that normal ? lol btw, i don't think my house is much bigger seriously...built-in is less than 1200 sq ft oh yes.. love the stag you bought! I'm trying to find wall-mount antlers and do let me know if you come across it

    can't wait for the carpentry to be done as now I can't see much things done onsite but contractor confirmed that the carpentry will be in next thursday! they will be doing one round of washing tomorrow in preparation for the carpentry to come in ... guess i just have to be patient and wait till next week to be able to see more action. so far, the following are being planned: 10 oct - carpentry delivery 11 oct - delivery of built-in appliances to new place 12 oct - shifting the stuff out from the warehouse to new place (to save warehousing costs) was just looking through the 3D renderings and realised that the painting in the WIW will not be seen at all! It will all be covered by the carpentry work hahahha just a preview of the WIW:
