  1. i think she will need a little more time.. just make sure her usual toys / beddings from the old place are in the new house as well...
  2. what! you have been peeping in! hahahahaha glad that you think it's nice still counting the days to graduation!
  3. thanks van! Your place looks good too! how's scott settling in so far?
  4. greg, thanks for the info once again.. humph... 3 to 4x more expensive huh... i guess if i could use the multi socket in my apartment, i will use it sparingly (ie. 1 for every room or something or only at places where i deem important)... will check with ID first anyway Headed down on-site again today to drop off some stuff and was pleased to see that the carpentry works are almost 80% done. One dilemma though, i'm thinking if i should leave the top of the wardrobe boxed up (as per the pics below - the beige part) or should i do away with the panel and leave the top of the wardrobe with empty space so that i can have more storage? The distance of the top of the wardrobe to the ceiling is ard 35cm. The ID is saying that it would be neater to have it boxed up which i do agree as well... so it's aesthetics vs functionality ! What do you guys think? walk-in is almost fully done up (except the internal fittings): The accessories display drawers + dresser: more progress on the kitchen carpentry ~
  5. u did have a very valid point.. i shall check with my ID if it's possible to do that too! thanks for the idea
  6. the Berker ones indeed look very amazing... comes with an even more amazing price tag too! hahahahaa i think i might end up going for the Arteor range instead...
  7. thanks for the price list... it would enable me to roughly gauge the prices for ARTEOR range... should be higher... i think most likely i will go for that range appreciate your info. thanks!
  8. How much is the mallia range? Say 1 gang lighting switch
  9. GUESS what i found in my mailbox yesterday? I was pretty surprised to receive a sample of the Schneider full-flat switch sample in my mailbox. I recalled that i did visit their website many months back just to take a look at what type of switches they offered. however, i have been tempted recently by BERKER switches, apparently it seems that they are the high-end range of switches but i must admit that i haven't heard of the brand before till i saw the sample and gosh... very stylish & suitable for my apartment! Here's how it looks like: the matt black is just perfect but sadly the price is pretty steep! maybe i should stick to the cheaper option from Legrand, does anyone has any idea how much is the Arteor range from Legrand? from the Mallia range: or from the Arteor range: Anyone has any other suggestions?
  10. i will passed on that for now since i already bought the philips bulbs to use for now.. i should keep a record and see how long does the norm energy saving bulbs last...but those from taobao are really cheap! maybe monsterbeng will be keen on ur bulbs?
  11. 你真厉害! how much are the e27 bulbs from taobao just curious...
  12. wahh this i can't answer you becos' i don't know if you could use LED E27 bulb on this... my guess is no... maybe the more knowledgeable reno-talkers will be able to answer your question...
  13. just realised that the world globe i got from TYPO sale (at 50% discount) will not be able to fit onto the display shelf at my kitchen area.. silly of me not to notice the measurements of the display shelf and happily grab the globe since it's on sale. thought it would be nice as a display somewhere in the house though... perhaps on the tv console?
  14. i didn't know too but there's a piece of paper & a sticker on the light that says LEGRAND (and it looks like LEGRAND logo in red) thanks for your pointers on the curtains.. i think i shall start sourcing for quotes in these coming weeks.. better to have more time to work with as well...
  15. thanks! I'm afraid i didn't factor in any ventilation for the shoe cabinet, am i supposed to do that? ooops..
  16. hehe thanks! greedy dog is good.. easier to train sometimes... cos they are motivated by food thus will tend to listen to your command since food is the reward!
  17. headed down to tiong bahru to purchase the lights for the laundry room & store room, another item off the checklist! as recommended by oldskool in his t-blog, these lights are $28 each and uses E27 bulbs.. I bought the phillips 5W energy saving bulb in cool white as i prefer the laundry room & store room to be brighter. oh yes, realised that the lights are actually from LEGRAND. looks simple & nice eh ?
  18. thankas greg, how long did yours take? roughly how many weeks?
  19. need some opinions from you guys, since my renovation is kinda half completed.. is it time for me to get the curtain people in to start quoting or should i wait till the carpentry is all done? ** carpentry is 50-60% done ** lightings not installed yet (looking at next week / after carpentry all done) ** wall painting not done at foyer & living area ** tv console not customised yet (ID already has the design in mind but i have yet seen it) let me know your experiences pls... thanks!
  20. wah tough question... my guess is the 2nd or 3rd from the left of the pic? though seems like the 2nd one more cos leia seems to be smaller in size from the pic u posted up...
