Yes.. my ID contractor also told me that the wires technically are still good eventhough its a 22 year old unit. he told me not to spend money to rewire coz new wires are of an inferior quality compared to wires 20yrs ago. he only changing the switches and moving points and adding some here n there. my total lighting/wiring is about $2.2k. I think for my unit.. alot of things can keep coz it was vacant for so long n not used. dunno good or bad thing..

FSM says that the spirit should not be there but with the husband n the son at jurong. Advised us to change the layout if the stove from exact center of the house to the side. Also told us to paint living room green for family harmony & mbr pink for marital bliss. Somehow I feel no harm listening to her advice n all we need to purchase is a 葫芦 & 5 coins to embed at the entrance. $125 well spent & she even chose a move in date for us. Will prob get a priest to bless the house & hope like she says we will be safe & happy in the house. I am still feeling a ill apprehensive about the house n have difficulty being excited.. I'm just feeling the need to move in b4 we are chased out of my almost sold flat. Hope hdb approves our change in purchased price soon. Dunno will delay how long.

Today the FSM came n we had the change the kitchen layout again! Thankfully the changes can be made.

Hi.. my reno for 3 toilets, 1 kitchen, hack few walls, plaster the house, new grilles, overlay level 1 came up to an initial 39k. i took various quotes from several coy and it ranges from those designer type to small players. i eventually settled for my previous ID coz i seem most comfortable with him.. it can get quite exasperating when the ID guy just keeps pushing ideas but not considering our lifestyle. I decided not to change the stairs coz the design of the stairs had a flaw and 4 steps had the railing cut into them. we were lucky that the stairs to level 2 n bedrooms all had v well maintained parquet (erm.. now we all know why la) but the reno has been snowballing.. coz we are changing the direction of the kitchen.. initially it faces the balcony when we was hands but now i change it to the other side so i wont have to face the balcony. to date.. excluding the electrical works, my reno has increased to 43k so far. electrical works will be around 1.5-2k.. then my toilet/kitchen fittings plus a bathtub is about $2.5k.. lighting has come up to 1.5k already (but we did buy most from JB).. so i'm hoping to stay around 50k my neighbour told us she reno total about $60 and thats about 6 months ago. she kept most of the flooring.. another friend's parents who stays at bedok res paid about 90k.. thats coz they changed everything and had loads of built in cabinets and wardrobes. reno v expensive!!! Today my FSM is going to the place. i'm not supposed to tell the FSM about anything right? if they cannot spot any irregularities then i just ignore n take that the house is good? i so stressed! hahahahah

The latest drama is he told us the truth. 17yrs ago suicide. 8yrs vacant. Erm.. Equally bad la. Looking for a FSM now so if any of u have pls recommend. He kinda threaten to sue if we pull the plug but seems we might have a case due to misrepresentation. But I accepted the compensation he offer la. For my kid's sake, no choice coz we hv no where else to stay n they both like the house. No point fight over it coz its so tiring n scary to think we will be homeless. I give up le la.. Whatever la.. Do what we can n try to be happy to move into the house.

Can recommend me a FSM too?? We need to check the FS of the house. Especially since the suicide. Thanks!

Transacted price is 616k including 53k cov. Wife died insurance paid for house already what. Thanks all, I know. It's just a mental block that I need to pass on my own. We are going to discuss our options with the owner tmr. If it was made known to me from the beginning, I will then have the choice to choose to buy or not. But now I'm stuck.

I'm not at ease but not because of ghosts. But more because I was cheated. I think there's only 1 block at BPRR with EM. I'm thinking of not buying but that might cost me about 20k! I'm sure none of u or sane mind people will buy the place 53k over value if u knew. =(

hi all, i just bought an EM at BP... we are renovating it now after 1st appt coz house is vacant. found out yesterday from neighbors that the house is vacant for 20years and the wife jumped off the balcony. i am so angry coz i am cheated by the seller. he said he moved out a couple of years ago and he rented the place out. but its all a lie. i am not bothered by spirits/ghosts. its not about that. its i'm furious i am being cheated. so angry. an EM is our dream but how to live in that house. i feel suddenly so uncomfy. the best part is, i overpaid for the house. 53k COV.. madness.. n the bugger made 600k from lying to me. what should i do?

i'm just not feeling comfortable enough to live in that house. to think that i paid a crazy amount of money and was lied n cheated. i am not talking about the spirits etc. i'm not worried about the ghost. let me ask u, would u buy a house like this? the owner deliberately concealed information and made 600K from me. To think since the house must have insurance and upon death the house will be fully paid for. i feel uncomfy and last night kept imagining seeing somebody jump off the balcony. i really dunno how to move on or move in. i dunno what to do. =(
