I felt that there are too mny toilets. My initial plan was to hack one toilet and make walk in wardrobe but hubby is super conservative n refuse all my ideas, insisting on keeping the toilets... Finally he gave up the yard toilet to let JW convert it to a small laundry room... We'll move in slowly as I live very near my new place, a stone's throw. Tentatively we target to move in by dec 1st and will b expecting my mother in law to come from Sarawak to come stay here for a few days during Christmas period. The Reno is fine, it's the choice of furniture and lack of shopping which saddens me a lot...should have gone to AIR n take a look... Lum May Yee's sofa is from AIR I guess (pic of her apartment)

Because I love the balcony so much and decided not to spoil it with putting laundry on it. I need to install a pulley system in the kitchen outside the yard toilet... Balcony today (feel its not glossy at all, may want them to do it again) Kitchen location to install pulley system This should be the outcome, not my unit, my neighbour's picture. The system can retract back into the kitchen. they'll come install this Thursday

The kitchen is already in ready to use condition. All the cabinets, stove, sink etc are all provided by developer. We did not want to do anything to it as its still new and there is warranty of 1year The toilet is made I'd marble, it's the same for all units, cannot choose. But I intend to add a vanity trove in the common toilet.

jiawei is a interior designer that used to work in a well known commercial big firm. He now came out on his own to become contractor. He still 3d designs for independent clients as well. We got to know him from his mum, the curtains maker. We like his passion for the job. Can tell he cares a lot for his clients. He was the one who suggested painting the chairs...

Adidaem your advice is great!!! you are right! My ID does care for the project despite a small budget and limited parts for him to work on. Lucky to have found him. Well we paid full price for all the scanteak sets.. my ID had a hard time trying to browse the scanteak website and going through the various combination of stuff from scanteak and fitting it into our house...He recommends mountain teak and AIR... but my hubby is always so so busy and not into shopping. He simply just went to Tradehub 21 and buy buy buy... My dad hates the furniture by the way... i feel so sad about the scanteak. Originally my ID wanted to design a TV console to counter the sofa design... BUT...my hubby bought the TV console impulsively and from SCANTEAK ID still thinking of ways to counter those designs...

Hi adidaem I'm a fan of your blog!! Love to read your entries I am not willing to part with the chairs... i'm afraid that if i do not like the color of the paint, then i will waste my chairs (its more than 10 years old liao) My hubby says i'm so so stubborn. Many blogs featured have nice painted Windsor chairs, some going into the grey with pastel color theme. While some go for the primary color theme chairs...

The Cheong Eames chair from Gmarket are cheap.... about $71 after using all the discount coupons. If its spoils then i think i'll not keep it. This makes me reluctant to change the chairs.... The Windsor chair is almost the same as the one they sell at Franc Franc and it retails at $300 each... thus i wanted to keep my Windor chair,... Do u all find it very country style?

DINING TABLE I'm a very sentimental person. I have personal attachment to things that i've used for a long time. I have a dining table that has a similar leg profile as this pic. My current home table has this profile at the legs, the below pic is the table that I have The chairs The chairs are called windosor chairs. The design originated from the 1800s, thus it does stand the test of time. I do like the look of the chair but my entire family seems to be aganst it. here ar some inspirational pics

BAY WINDOWS Many homes come with bay windows these days. I was thinking of make wood laminates on it but after looking at a few pics, I decide not to. I intent to decorate my bay window with some green plants like this Thus I decided to use solid top, the price is slightly a little more than using laminates or parquet flooring tiles. I chose an iff white solid top. The outcome should look like this They are still making the solid top. Will post pics on the solid top soon.
