  2. Hi aegis, ya in fact we cut down many things Liao lo, but to do renov is like that one lo, u gt to prepared got more things pop up la. My ex owners also tell me certain things are still in a good condition, bt I do agree with u that some things gt to change one shot, otherwise later u change will be nightmare Liao le.....haha.... Btw where us yr new nest located lei...

Everyday we r also getting new add from our contractor, wait add here n there until my Hubb tell him we already tp a limit Liao, cannot go further Liao....I think they think we stay em pple got money in fact we r not lo, just that I like the two storey feels in hdb..... So cannot chop carrots at us like that lo...... I seriously got to ask this frenz of mine who she engage for her Id who can do at 30k which my contractor is curious of as well....a lot of forumers also agree at least min 50k for a overhaul Ma....
  4. Hi adidaem, I thought I hv the lowest quote Liao cos my Hubb frenz a lot of things did not charge me. Yes u r rite, my Hubb went ard asking his client who is in id firm says that em r the one that easily ard 70k n above due to the extensive renov they got to do. My frenz had got the quotes for her upcoming renov in Jan ba. I was quite shocked when she told me her renov only cost 30k all in whereas just my 3 toilet alone cos me $20k for hacking n reconstructing again.
  5. How much does it really cost to renov fir whole em except flooring on balcony n bedrooms....no matter how I squeeze my hubby frenz, the max max he can give us is only $50k... I just got to hear from a frenz that with the similar things as wat I do she can get only at 30k....I told my contractor abt n he tell me is mission impossible....my Hubb did ask ard that the minimum renov is ard 80k by id firm n this is considered the minimum amount required. Some more I did nit change my stairs lei, I ask to add on one pc of wood cost me $135, cos there is one level of stair no balance cos I scared my two kiddie will roll dwn.....
  6. Hey piggicia, since you had already bought the unit, till no choice just moved it in. Not sure what religion that you believe in, you can actually get someone in to chant prayers in your house. In fact I believe ghostly things is in everywhere de, even u buy a brand new unit also will kana. Like I bought a unit directly from hdb, the unit was vacant for 4 yrs before we moved in, so we believe the spirits was already there Liao... Think the house fengshui like no good, we always quarrel over slightest things and worse when I gave birth 3 yrs later after staying there, my son can sense things not right in the house. First is he will wan go and play in the living room at midnight when he had turned almost one, then sometimes he will cry if I leave him alone in the living room to play. So far I had not personally had close encounter at this house,bt my maid ever saw shadows in the kitchen....dun worry too much k, it is very common one de, just move on amd you be happy ya....

Ya, in this aspect I do agree with you, like wat my Hubb say, now he had spend close to 100k (cov+renov+furnishing) next time he wan sell he also wan to get this amount..... Bt I told him he can dream about selling this place cos this is my 4th house and north south east west I have stay before Liao which no way I wan move AGAIN........hahaha....
  8. Sometimes I feel that those pple looking at 100k plus must be a bit siao one lei, unless the house is really in a tip top condition. I ask one unit previously at my block, although it was a corner unit with recess area, bt before I could view it, the agent told me last offer cov $95k rejected. Imagine the house already been use for 5 yrs plus, I guess still need a bit touch up ba.. the cov kana so high for em could be due to those pte landed owner sold their unit n buy hdb em....haha

  11. The range is ard 30-40k cos as wat other agent told me as compare em is more privacy n ea is the same as 5 rooms except that the space is bigger only
  12. I guess is nearer to mrt ba......I think the owner is in a desperate situation also cos if I m nt wrong, they hv cmf a unit already n gt to dispose current ASAP ma..... In fact I call their agent n she say the owner will only let go at cov 44k, bt when my agent called n pressed them, he got it at 38k which me n Hubb was shocked also.....cos this agent is a personal frenz of mine, so at first I thought he was playing a joke on me, then he told us seriously that the house is our.....immediate we went down and execrcise the option lo.... Actually come to think about it, if u r paying cov ard 80k with a move in condition, it is still quite reasonablecos no need come up spare money to do renov.... Basically for our unit, the only thing I kept is the flooring n the rest is to the rubbish bin lo...
  13. Hi spike doll, we r quite lucky to pay cov at 38k.... When I enquire previously most looking at 80k n above n when I ask for lower cov some agent ask me to consider ea instead..... The ex owner do contra that y we heng heng gt this unit lo....I think the owner was sad to sell us at 630k cos last spoke to her she say she got neighbour sell at close to 700k......I just act blur n skip topic la.....haha... If u looking at bt panjang area the ones pop 257 is huge.... Actually I had dwn initial deposit at jelapang, bt after two days consideration, we decided to give up cos there r a few factors we hv forfeit the deposit, I think if I am not wrong it had bought over by chloeong ba......
  14. Hi spike doll, I hv not shifted in yet, nw still undergo renov. In fact after we had down our second deposit, then my Hubb and frenz was just walking ard the area n they saw on the wall.... During last inspection of the unit, I did ask the owner if the neighbour is ok n told her wat we saw, bt she say she dun noe cos she did not see anything when she came bk... Think she did nt wanna comment further bt to me since I already bought the unit, there is nothing to hide lo...... My unit is in 471

Hi, I have just gotten my new unit in jurong west and joining in this thread....overall was very happy to have got this unit bt the sad part is that my neighbours kana ah long and luckily the ah long San was kind enuf to have paint a single blue colour as I saw drips on the corridors area. I am very much concerned as I got two young children aged 2-5 and if the paint kana my side then things can get very sensitive....should I just keep a lookout for further pouring or it is fine for me to just build rapport with them n find out wat is happening?
