  1. There's a perk where you can choose to waive 1 bottle corkage per confirmed table. It's how you do your sums. The bottle at Swissotel is $37+++ and I think it's Australian Wine. With corkage at $20/bottle.. it depends how many bottles you want to get to make it worth ur while You mean the same wine or ? Supermarkets like NTUC, Cold Storage Im quite sure they carry wine and in fact NTUC has a wide selection also.
  2. I changed my mind within a day and I was prepared to lose the deposit then. If your friends have not start to discuss with him, then it might be worth a try to bring it up to him. At least ask for vouchers for lighting or other stuff. I read somewhere in the forum, that was what most of the people got.
  3. I can only suggest to ask him to refund in terms of vouchers or something, for your friends' case.
  4. I see, my ID told me no need. But I want to double confirm. Thanks!
  5. Hi, Can check, for those who have done your flooring. Is there a need to shorten the base of the door ?
  6. Sorry to hear that... he also promised alot of things when we were in negotiation, but I didn't feel too comfortable with him. Was glad I managed to get back my deposit.
  7. Hi, Can check with those who bought from HongTar or GainCity ? How is their workmanship ? My quote from HongTar is $200 more than GainCity, but I heard good reviews about HongTar workmanship. Can I ask if the quote from HongTar is negotiable. Also, between Class O and Class 1, some says Class 1 is enough, is it so ?
  8. So the vote is not to buy or to buy ?? So we should not buy from GainCity/HongTar ?
  9. I went to check out at Ikea too.. only their drawers was quite like Blum.. The doors self close cos of this additional stopper like they install near the end of the door , their hinges are not like Blum's..
  10. Krisie, your relatives complained about the vegeterian food?? oh no.. Im going to have like 3 vegeterian tables..

  12. In sept, there could still be renovation and ppl moving in during the period? Im excited about collecting the keys too. Those in Blk 89, anyone mind to show me their 5 room flat? I yet to see one.. Wonder how the space is like..
  13. I asked the Officer when I went to sign the Lease. He told me, though collect the keys earlier, the latest date to submit the ROM Cert is Target Delivery Date or 3 Months after Collection of Keys, which ever is Later.
  14. I hear glass is usually expensive due to the labour and risks they have to take when delivering, as it breaks easily and care is also needed to be taken when delivering.
  15. My ID is Raymond, yours? I have compared his quote to other IDs, although he may say his materials used are better but I feel there's still alot of markup.
  16. it seems it's not just for being a different class, its like having a ISO. I have the advice because my friend had problems with a ID firm and it would have helped a bit if the firm was Radac registered. Btw I have seen the Famous ID Firm you have seen too. quote I have seen both radac and non-radac Firms. The cheapest is a Radac One but so is the most expensive one. However I take note of materials and dimensions quoted too.
  17. I am discussing quote with him too. My initial quote is 38k (include taxes).
  18. I think there might be some difference in pricing due to materials used, even the minor things like trimmings for cabinet makes a difference. This is what I notice. Also, from some friends' experience and advice, it's better to get those recommended or with Radac.
