Paint ? you mean beneath the carpentry, ie. on the floor ? or you mean the wall? our laminate is all done yesterday night before the carpentry arrived this morning. So all the floors are done.

Except the yellow one, the rest were all recommended by my ID.

hihi, the carpentry arrived, so far only the kitchen cabinet half done, the rest are still wrapped up and it's all over the house!! They were still working when I dropped by just now.

Verified the laminated was coded wrongly. At least no need to dig out and re-lay.... Phew..

It doesn't seem as smooth for my side.. got 2 major hiccups for my laminate (refer to my T-Blog for details).... I only go down to check sometiMes as the new place is very far from my current place. hope everything can settle soon. *fingers crossed*

Some updates on the renovation... was waiting for the carpentry to be ready.. In the meanwhile, the grilles are up and the sliding shower screen done. Sigh... but really running into lots of problems with the laminate for the bedrooms... First, the wrong brand of laminate was delivered. We happened to be at the new place when the delivery man dropped in with the laminates, but it was very wrong... Called ID up and she got them to take it back. Second, the laminate was planned to be laid just the day before the carpentry comes. We dropped by again, but got another shock..... this time the brand is correct but the code is wrong! Not what we ask for. Immediately called ID and she says she ordered the code we wanted. I told her I check the box and thats not what's written there.. oh my.... have called up the supplier and he says the box is labelled wrongly by the factory. he says he will bring down the catalogue and sample to verify.. *sigh* just a simple laminate flooring also so many matters..

It seems my unit "leveliness" got some issue, ya, my gate require some trimming. On the issue of heater, those who are using electric storage heater, did you have your gas pipes removed?

Sorry.. you talking abt wall fans, not ceiling fans.. it's the same logic.. not too long distance.. if you have no false ceiling, especially if in rooms, the wire will need to run from a further distance, then not very recommended to conceal,but best is to check with your electrician.. Mine was arranged by my ID.. if cannot hide, she will box up for me or tell me where can see, a bit Im ok.

JS21, it depends. Most of my trunkings are hidden by false ceiling or boxed up. Aircon Trunking, of cos they will do as short if they can, save materials mah. But it's usually the height also, cos got to consider where the aircon unit is and water pipe/insulation. Regarding concealing of wire, usually the electrician will conceal for short distances, cos they also at risk for doing this. If it's for ceiling fan, it's tapping directly from where HDB puts for the light right ? So no trunking mah. Unless you are moving the point else where.

There was a debate between TP and LTA, 1 says on the road, 1 says not on the road. I agree with you those cyclists are idiotic! I hate it when they keep ringing their bell when they are approaching. Hey! Im on the pedestran pavement! Why should I give way when Im not in any other pedestian's way?? Also, there's no way for me to go as there are plants and trees on the side in my neighbourhood, and even if there's anyone who should be going onto the grass on the side, it should be them! There was once I was holding my 2 nieces' hand, 1 on each side, and I refused to make them go onto the side just because some stupid lazy cyclist decide to use the pavement. He no choice but had to slow down and used the grass patch. He still turn ard and stare at me, I glare back at him. Maybe you should go log a report with the NPC, hopefully something is done abt all these cyclists!

Get them to cover the flooring before they paint. Currently, all my walls are painted but my bedrooms' laminate is not done yet.
