All the best with your renovation! May everything go smoothly
-
You may want to check the height of your current ceiling (without false ceiling) to see if it's tall enough. Yours is resale, so the ceiling height should be taller than the newer flats. Ceiling fans need a certain height so it's safe (you don't want the fan to be too low!). Certain brands of fans have a "petite" model for people with low ceilings (but even the "petite" ranges need a certain height). From what I know, false ceilings may not be strong enough to support a fan? I could be wrong though. The other thing you'd want to note is that, with all the fans in your plan, your cove lights have to be a certain distance from the fans, otherwise you'll feel a "blur" of lights when the fan spins past the light's path (I hope I'm making sense ). If you choose pendant lighting, then you'll have to make sure the fan's spin clears the lights so your lights don't start swaying each time the fan is on. Lots of cleaning to do with so many fans! Good luck with the renovation, may everything go smoothly for you! Oh, and I super like the long walkway you have upon entering your home! So many things you could do there

Thank you thank you That's the only window panel with my favorite cafe curtains! The rest are usual curtains la. But I really like the blinds on my first floor too Thank you! Yes, totally can't wait to move in although the unpacking scares me

The IDs have informed that they can finish all the additional things we need rectified by tomorrow. They're also helping us drill hooks and screws for us to hang some of our accessories. Can't wait to start making the place a home! Relying on pictures to keep me occupied. The big move is on Saturday!

Hahaha he's getting too shaggy, so we're going to bring him to the groomer's. He always has this look when he gets too shaggy

Mid Apr is coming soon! Hope everything goes smoothly for you you take more pictures of the finished outcome too! Am going slightly berserk thinking about what to put where and how to arrange everything. Can't wait to move in, Saturday feels so far away! But the packing is driving us mad so much to pack, but so lazy. I feel like leaving everything in the old place and just moving myself over Meanwhile, the bicycle is keeping me happy

I can't say if Blum's better since that's the only system I know! But I guess Blum is the well-known brand out of the bunch? It's been the system that I've seen everywhere. Yes finally! Can't wait to arrange the furniture and style the place When is yours ready? Maybe Z3phy can answer your question. Z3phy?

Samsung's technology is apparently more advanced, with LG lagging behind a little. Maybe that explains the price difference? Not a TV guru though, so not too sure

Can you ask to change your windows to louvre? We originally meant for our windows to be casement, but our ID suggested we change it to louvre eventually for safety. -

why would you need grilles there though? Perhaps sharing the reasons can help people give more feedback! -
Not exactly related to renovation, but my bicycle is ready for collection!

If you're installing Blum drawers, it shouldn't be a problem at all! If you're getting the starter kit, it shouldn't be a problem because everything in the set comes up to be around 600mm (not counting the plate holders and spice racks because those are supposed to go into the deeper drawers). But I guess yeah, if you buy them now, you need to remember to make your drawers long enough to fit it all in one drawer! Unless you don't mind having some spill over to the next drawer (we bought the sets a la carte so that it would all fit into one drawer).

Yesterday was a day of cleaning and tidying up in the new place, before the move-in this coming weekend Still can't quite decide if I like the combination of chairs at the dining table/island. Hmm... (we're still missing one chair! Delivery expected only at the end of April ) Our collection of crockery! My chair for the study/lounge in our room. Loving the socks The study/lounge area is slowly taking shape!

They have trays that have slightly adjustable widths, but not by much. And they usually only sell trays of a fixed measurement for depth (for 50mm depth drawers) if I'm not wrong!

Ah okay. Yeah, always good to see where the money should go! all the best with renovations!

I've got lots of white laminates too! ID did tell us it would dirty eventually, but we'll just maintain it to the best of our ability because we didn't want any other color. We can have yellow laminates together in a few years! Heh

The walls can be patched with new paint right? That's what we did with ours because it was in bad shape as well (peeling paint and all).

This one is non motorized, fully manual. But they also have a motorized one. I don't know much about it because I didn't want one, but maybe retchlow may know! -

You can get it from Ezzi-living! Retchlow and I got the same system -
Dropped by Blum's showroom today to get accessories for our kitchen drawers. Tried getting the dividers from IKEA, but the measurements didn't fit. A list of what's possible for Blum drawers (Tandem box). The Orga line is now on sale for the month of March. The starter kit is good for those who would have use for everything that comes in the box. We didn't like the plate holder and spice rack, so we did it a la carte instead. You also get a 10% discount off regular-priced Orga line products if you like Blum on Facebook.

Thank you everyone for your kind words! Will be going down to the place to do some general cleaning this weekend. Can't wait to move in next weekend! Also can't wait to pick up our chairs, armchairs and coffee tables. Meanwhile, for those of you doing furniture/home accessories shopping, drop by this lovely place! The GoDown, opposite Great World City.
