  1. Yes! Animals add so much value to our lives The cat is finally more comfortable in the new place! He's going up and down the stairs on his own and exploring new areas
  2. Hope it works out for u! Otherwise, you could consider getting someone to do the upholstery for you? That's if the color really bothers you.
  3. We painted all our doors white. Room doors are probably classic doors like you said. The main door is a fire-rated door. I don't see there being any problem in painting over classic doors. Our room doors look fine and operate normally
  4. We were considering the IKEA one too, but it was just too big and would make our kitchen look cluttered. I vote for the String shelf!
  5. Our rug finally goes on the floor in the study/lounge
  6. Is it not a requirement for all houses to have the hdb fire-rated door?
  7. The scratch post Arranged the bookshelf today! Shall make do with this for now.
  8. Is classic door the door that hdb provides? The fire-rated door. Because we painted our main door white.
  9. Got it from IKEA! It's the new IKEA PS collection, three-seater sofa. Very solid, timeless design. The seat cushions are pocketed springs, super comfy! Not cheap like other IKEA things though, but super worth it in our opinion. $1,799. Comes in two colors
  10. Thanks for letting me know! We like the simple yet timeless design in Muji don't think we'll get their cushion covers though! I'm going for more colors for the accessories to jazz up the clean base. We do love their rugs though!
  11. Can't wait to hang the clock up on the wall so we can tell the time without having to check our phones
  12. These acrylic storage boxes can be stacked, switched around in orientation, and help to keep the vanity organized. Totally loving them Shall go get some more for Mom's vanity too. Our first cooked meal in the new place. The kitchen is still in a mess Our study table is finally up and running (more or less )!
  13. One more day of unpacking before going back to work tomorrow Feeling accomplished after arranging our wardrobe. Let's hope it stays this neat
  14. Probably because it was a panoramic shot Haha, it's quite hard to capture moments when it comes to animals! But my boys sometimes stay still for a while Replied your PM!
  15. Thank you vanessa! The cat knows how to run up the stairs now, but still refuses to go down without us urging him down from the back. At least he found a spot upstairs he now calls his own. Looks like everyone approves of the new sofa!
  16. Yeah Makanology, the cat is settling in much slower. Still scuttles under the bed everytime there's a sound, and hasn't been eating much of his food. Cats usually take longer, so we'll wait and see Thanks razzberrie! I love the keychains too Spent last night setting up the sofa for our study/lounge. Now all that's left is to clear up the mess, get stuff arranged, and get rugs to make the place more homely. So much to do The puppy approves of the new sofa
  17. Thank you razzberrie, spikedoll and berlinbear! Still unpacking and progressing slowly, so random pictures will have to do
  18. Yup, the dog is quite settled in it seems! I'm supposed to have given up on unpacking, but couldn't resist trying out some of the stuff we got. Haven't started arranging, I'll conquer that tomorrow. Or the day after. Or maybe next week The cat finally comes out from under the bed! Baby steps
  19. Moved in! It's been an exhausting day of rushing around and lugging things up and down. The place is still in a mess, and there's still so much cleaning to do. But I give up. For tonight. In love with the rain shower. The water pressure is wonderful! The dog's settled in quite well (looks like bringing him over once in a while when we were checking on the house helped)! The cat's still hiding under the bed
  20. Haha, no marking of territories! heh We brought our dog over after most of the works were done, so that he could get used to the place. We found that he actually didn't want to go up the stairs. But our boy has always been wary of stairs, so I guess that was a good thing! We took leave so we can stay home the week after we move and keep an eye on our animals Thank you! hope your renovation's going well!
  21. Your balcony divider looks interesting! Pardon my ignorance, but what is it for? You're going to have an elevated entrance to the balcony?
  22. Sure sure, go ahead! Ideas are meant for sharing We bought the curtain rail from IKEA, super cheap! The curtains themselves were expensive because we ordered it with the rest of our curtains from a curtain maker. The pattern is pretty and the cloth was special, so we caved if you want, you can actually make it yourself by going to spotlight/IKEA to choose cloth and get someone to hem it for you. I wanted to do that, but didn't like the cloth selection at Spotlight when I went (IKEA's cloth doesn't feel as good). But maybe you would find something you like since Spotlight does have a lot of cloth! Today! Excited la, but looking at the boxes that need to be moved to the new place, headache man. Not ready at all! So many things not packed yet. But we'll still move in tonight and start staying there! Going to move the "Zoo" with us too, that's going to be the biggest headache (so many stressed animals in the car!). We got the legs from IKEA. Our ID did the plank for us (we chose the laminate) because we couldn't find a study table that fit our selection criteria So our ID took the IKEA legs and did our study table for us
