  1. Your LG ah? My god. Is it the ArtCool? Mine as mentioned is mitsubishi heavy industries. Stupid salesman recommend feel like kena con to get a **** lousy brand. Not cold - no good leh. I used Akira system 3 in my old place and it FREEZES the home over!! 2800 is very good price!!!!!! I paid about 2.7k for my "lan" aircon. They asked me to do extended warranty i refuse to do it. I said i used aircon all my life and noone broke down! Now it has broken down big time...XXXX man. The sales talk is like a deja vu! I heard the same from my sales guy from Gain City Suntec! Now i so regret listening to him... Hitachi aircon quite unheard of...but at least hitachi is a reliable brand. Ibought a hitachi fridge which alot of renotalkers are using also...the slim stainless steel one...Mine aircon is a local dealer and i doubt the support is good! Ah sounds good. This was my initial intention to get the starmex!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! over 10 days...then u already pass the mark! Mine is installed for 7 days and used only twice gone kabooo... I got other frens oso using starmex they say its good....good choice lah to buy an aircon that is reliable... Today the Woo Kee Hong ppl came down - they seemed so apologetic that i had a bad experience with their aircon and urge me to give them a chance!! I told them i have no confidence now...and told them i want to change brand...then the engineer came down and said oh we hope u can reconsider ur decision...
  2. Now is Friday...my aircon fan coil 7-day old and also used only twice is beyond repair!! how cool is that? Sob sob...now i am waiting for Gain City Management to tell me if they can let me exchange a brand new one and to another brand. I have lost confidence in the one i bought i told the repair guys who came down to do up the aircon... So sad...first time in my life i use aircon got such big problem...
  3. Hi everyone! Time is 10am. Want to share fellow guys who are installing aircon - choose a brand that can be trusted. Don't go for one that is unheard of or have no track record. Use me as your learning ground. Another mishap - i think i am a magnet for trouble! The aircon which they just installed 7 days ago is not working!! Haaaa so horrible. I bought the system 3 unit (Mitsubishi Heavy Industries - Not Mitsubishi electric star mex - i wanted it but the sales man persuaded me I hate myself) from gain city - they got a 8 day replacement policy however they must get someone from the agent to rectify - so you better not be fool by their "excellent" service promise... Although i call Gain City Service line, the girl Hui Zhen was very patient and friendly despite me making noise about the 7 day faulty aircon. She contacted this Wo Kee Hong Group (google it) the agent for the brand - and ask them to put me thru the sales department. The recept attitude sucked big time i tell you... spoke to the sales guy and i told them the aircon is spoilt in 7 days. The guy was "in awe" of course and was friendly at first then later as i get nastier, his attitude changed...he said response time is 24 hours, so he say today cannot come down to rectify. I asked if he got only one technician? why 24 hours? I expect the technician to be down today... Then i went on to say i cannot accept an aircon stucked to the wall to breakdown in 7 days and want a replacement...then he said why i waited 7 days to call? this is a new place, you expect me to use the aircon when i just moved in? My god i tell you... Time check 10.09am. Gain City Huizhen just called said their technician is coming down at 530pm to 6pm to see the aircon. I need to go work soon and i am late for work....i want to yank my hair out i tell you...
  4. Well the good thing is they will pay me half of the sink. So in order words i can still choose a sink which will cost me $200 or so. I guess with this amt i can get a good sink... Sorry folks been madness with my schedule - have no time to take pictures and post pictures. Renovation progress is on-going still...more than one month but it should be over soon the ordeal. will post you more pictures hopefully this coming weekend...
  5. I wanted to reposition anyway the decision now is to break the sink liao. They broken it so they gonna replace another sink for me...
  6. Oh yah so brilliant idea!! Will try man...gosh...such a nitemare loh. I dun wan to do another renovation anymore man... I will go take picture tom. These few days soooooooo stress running about and at work too... I want it the way i want not he wants!! I not going to let them off so easily lor...
  7. No leh...dun have. I tried thinner, i tried also lighter fuel. All cannot and it is stucked to the wall like it was part of the wall! Ask around only can cut silicone but not dissolve. Wonder any miracle can happen someone can enlighten me or not? I think need to freaking break the sink...shucks...terrible :-( I bought the sink and the brand is bellavista got website http://www.bellavista.com haiz so suay reno... Oh yah that's like the price there. Coz i tried bargaining so HARD with the owner and he refused to budge. So i settled for 178k. But u know a unit three floors below mine sold for $180k!! Am sure so many u see...same here also cannot find ideal one...but now found...
  8. I run into some problems with my renovation!! So sad! Problem #1 My m/b room toilet sink i want to reposition, but they say cannot remove the sink as they siliconed it!They said will have to break it...and i was miffed as the sink costs about $500. MADNESS! They want to take the easy way out...in the first place i dunno why they need to put so much silicone to it and the ah neh who installed it thought it will be stucked to the wall permanently! ****... The shower rain bath sucks also as the height is too short and the rain bath is protruding out excessively! So i wonder if it was due to my misjudgement or my "designer"/contract being inexperienced!! Now i duno wat to do and am very sianz...now. So far my contract has been very good and responsive...appreciate that but just hope the can help me resolve the prob!! Pray
  9. Wuah so expensive? I bought 10k above valuation. I paid $178k - i though the price was good so i grabbed. How come the one you view is so expensive? Farrer Park got point blocks - 30 - 40 floors high. Four point blocks only about 4-5 years. I think it is block 11-14 or 15. Don't remember but i check out their show flat, small but condo layout really nice.
  10. Oh my too! You could have bought that flat! The place is actually quite safe you know? I have been living in the area - downgraded from 4 room to this 3 room. You are right and it is very very central...apart from the foreign workers on the opposite of the road...price wise not expensive. You are right about the layout - but the newer 3room flats got condo layout check out farrer park point blocks...but too expensive. Saw one that sold for $260k on hdb resale transaction... I sold my 4-room at only $260k How much did you intend to pay for this unit since you nearly bought it?
  11. No lah $139 nett for three of us...but stay there so many days until pocket dry... i check service apt seem so expensive somehow...this is what i call bad planning...haaa on my end of course
  12. Oh wow...guess they mark up slightly more but not too much...haiz buy already.
  13. He he i bought the same two tier shelve! bought it from lookz or sim siang choon? nice shelving!!
  14. Your 3 room is pre-fab...so the walls must be so **** hard. my auntie place is in bt batok with same layout...but the pity is only got one toilet right? I find 3 room flat very difficult for space planning. many things u wanna squeeze in but then u r limited by space and it can be a pain u know?
  15. R u sure only 80% done? Looks like 100% done to me and certainly livable leh. Mine is in doldrum and warzone...hardly anything done. How much did you pay for your feature wall which allows u to turn front and back for ur plasma? Looks good.... Like the space of your place!! Reno looks cool and modern like the kitchen esp.
  16. After much delayed and some screaming to my designer...the tiles are up. albeit the initial hipcups! You know i have to give up my flat on 17th Sep but my flat will not be ready! I have to put my parents up in a hotel and i have to go find my own sleep!! Worst i got many barang barang dunno how Cement and sands up...always tell me prices are up up up Xiao Qiang on the cement screed! I wonder how come these roaches refuse to go away despite the mess!! Toilet tiles up - a bit of discontent - why? They din do a good job hacking and as a result they patch the wall up which makes the wall thicker with the tiles and shrinking my bathroom size further! Their best tiler's attitude can kill you. I told them to do it, they say yah will do will do see what i got eventually?! wall tiles up looks nice but check out the next one... Notice the cut? It is not straight and as a result got a big/uneven lobang there...so good workmanship lor...thinking the money u pay yet you get peanuts... Living room flooring is up...but i wonder why they leave a big hole somewhere i show u in a bit..

  20. Je parle un peu seul My god - I saw your reno and your everything! Soooooo beautiful. I ser!ously !! doubt mine will turn out to be anything close to yours...moreover it is featured in square rooms.... Moreover, I don't really have alot of carpentry works. Only kitchen and MBR. Just a quick qns, your kitchen cabinet are floating without base? Will it be able to withstand the weights of what-not? Just want to know so I can tell my contractor to do it...and save some bucks from the construction of the cabinet base. Also potentially able to install the lights.
  21. Sunday went to Sim Siang Choon - bought a set of bellavista basin for $405!! Bought a tap, water trap and also the glass wall shelve for all close to $600. This is so bloody expensive but i just like the look somehow!! Gosh what a sucker...i will post the picture of it when it is installed and you can tell me if it is worth the monaie? Heng ah i got instalment from UOB credit card they only take maybank and uob. So 0% interest free. Also yesterday i bought a Sys 3 Inverter from Mitsubishi Heavy Industries - mind you - this is different from the star mex mitsubishi electric. I hope i made the right choice as i was initially dissuaded from my initial choice of LG ARtcool then my second choice was Mitsubishi Electric! But he showed me this one and demo for me. The fan coil is so quiet! my god i like it...and the price is not so expenive i bought it...at $2700 plus bracket. Instalment on credit card again...0% interest Today went to ikea to order Malm Queen size bed and headboard Oak Veneer- damage is about $900 - this excludes mattress etc....again i put it on 0% interest!! I din want to order first, but the stocks were running low and I don;t want to wait 2 months! I tried ordering Besta TV console, but it is sold out - the white one - and gotta wait till at least end of OCT!! I dun wan same situation, so i place the order. All above 12 months instalment. No $$ so gotta pay instalment lor...
