Any Good Recommendation For Lightings Outlets
Melissa Ng replied to meridan's topic in Home Furnishings
Number One Lighting at Geylang - The boss very nice & helped within my budget of 500+ for lights (he oso got give discount, on top of no GST), without compromising my satisfaction in the designs The lights i bought (12pcs): 1) 2 living room lights (with round wood frame, to match my laminated floor) 2) 3 bedroom lights (with round patterned glass) 3) 2 kitchen light ( with round patterned glass, fully covered for better maintenance due to cooking area) 4) 2 toilet round light (acrylic cover) 5) 3 spot lights (exchanged for a touch/ table lamp with discount $24, that means no need to top up anything ) All bulbs are extra bright type and energy saving The Number One boss very easy goin, helpful, although abit ah Beng but very honest & knowledgeable, not like those other bigger shops that keep 'pressing' us to buy expensive but not necessary lights. If you want cheaper those big shops will recommend those lousy or no designs one Just my personal opinion lah Location: Number One Lighting 673, Geylang Road , S'pore 389600 Tel: 67496636 (open on Sun as well, but pls call to confirm what time they open/close) -

$4.80 Psf For Supreme Ac5 Laminated Flooring
Melissa Ng replied to yokine9a's topic in Ceiling, Walls and Flooring Works
Hi yokine9a, I just talked to Supreme in Expo exhibition yesterday. It seem they charge extra for the rubber /foam under the wood, for abt $1 per sqf. Did they charged you extra for the rubber as well? Thanks very much! -

Heheh, I also prefer to choose the tiles myself Yesterday hubby & I went to SBH n took our own sweet time to choose. I saw many ppl also choosing the tiles themselves or with the SBH sales people - who are very helpful & gave good advice. When finish they gave us the samples to bring home and prices written clearly on paper. It's very easy & fun - like shopping -
Ho Bee

Hi Ice, Wow, you seem to understand a contractor's job very well.. Anyway if you don't feel the chemistry with Ho Bee, or don't like the way they work, you're in no obligation to choose them. Every contractor / ID hv their own different styles. Instead of wasting time, why not you just concentrate on finding other ID/ contractor that you feel more comfortable with? Why do you still want to understand more abt Ho Bee when you've already decided Ho Bee's not the one for you? Good luck! -
Hi, Read from brochure that Courts Megastore has a design consultancy, whereby customers can get their home designed and the entire project ( including full renovation service) managed by the team at their Design Solutions Hub. Anyone engage their service before? If yes, your feedback is deeply appreciated! rgds mel

Yishun Central 4/5 Rm Flat Help
Melissa Ng replied to yokoyoko's topic in HDB New/Resale Flats, Executive Condominiums
Hi, I've just bought a resale flat near the Yishun MRT station - Blk 75x - 4-room -valuation at 230k, COV 23k. Before that we saw: Blk 15x - 5 room- Valuation 280k, asking 20k Blk 29x - 5 room - Valuation 324k, asking 15k Blk 29x - 5 room - Valuation 300k+, asking 20k Blk 64x - 5 room - ard Valuation 275k, asking 5k ( 3rd floor) Blk 80x - 5 room - Valuation 280k, asking 20k (2nd floor) When i called, everyone seemed to say COV 30 - 70k, and you meet a lot of these either young or cocky agents whom i don't trust at all. Luckily i met this experienced agent who'd negotiate a reasonable and good price for both the seller & us. He told me nowadays those agents from well known agencies like to over-promise high COV for the sellers, thus marking up the price and pressuring the buyers. Don't give up, i'm sure you'll find one within your liking & means. Meanwhile Yishun would be a good investment, since HDB is gonna renew it. Pretty impressed by the HDB exhibition -
