  1. Hi Star07dust, Thanks for the compliments! No prob, I'll PM you the altar table supplier's details. Based on the description in the bill, it is 3ft x24", walnut colour, altar with top, glass sides with flowers, fixed with 1 long light. I will also PM you where the Guan Yin statue is bought from
  2. Hi Prettibride, Thanks! Read that your reno starts today very excited for u - all the best Yeah, i did plan to put a pot underneath the decal, for a 3D kind of feel..but after some time felt like getting used to how it looks now without the pot Will see abt this in due time, thanks for noticing ..Meanwhile yes, the reno was a good experience with Patrick, not entirely smooth but he was very accommodating & solved all our problems. So a thumbs up for Patrick. Here's a picture of us when he help us to install our toilet accessories. Even though he's the boss, and is busy all the time, he's still willing to get his hands dirty to do the job together with his men..very very humble & responsible, no wonder many good reviews abt him. Tsk tsk, must still keep our identities hidden
  3. Thanks very much Pinkpetter , with your 122sqm i think u can do even more... for me although my floor area is only 92sqm, somehow the colours and layout made it seem big & airy..that's what all the visitors commented lah so far
  4. It's raining again ..well, good time to update my blog ... Hall makeover almost done... TV console Wall decal by Modishop - simply love it The guy who sold us this is the shop owner himself- very nice & helpful. Even though we bought only 1 set of wall decal <$90, he delivered the thing directly to our doorstep FOC.
  5. oh, CPE, sorry, it was plasterger who had a bad experience, saw wrongly, pai seh Anyway he still didn't indicate what kind bad incident he had. From what i see here are pretty ok reviews. Just cross ur fingers n hope dun be the unlucky one
  6. Hi CPE, You oso bought ur dining table from Home2be? Me too! I bought mine at their exhibition in Expo. When they delivered the table & chairs, one of the chair got light scratch. My hubby pointed out and they took it back without any question. After a week or so they replace with brand new one. So i feel their service is ok. The delivery was oso on time. The sales person was a lady, who was pretty aggresive in getting sales from us, keep asking us to buy this buy that, but luckily we stood firm & just bought the dining table, which is $799 tempered glass (120cmx 70cm) with 4 chairs. We really like the look & size, plus it's within our intended budget, so no regrets Actually what was your bad incident yar?
  7. Hi hulk1010, Thanks, have PM you
  8. Hi Yokine9a, Last time Patrick n Mrs. Quek were pretty quick in refunding my money when I paid him extra. Maybe you can give Mrs.Quek your account no, so that she can fund transfer to you, and also e-mail Patrick the details/ reason of your refunds. The longer you drag, the more he won't be able to recall, as u know how busy he can be
  9. Hi CPE, Glad to hear ur reno started well too ..Wishing all the best for you..Dun worry, whatever it is, u can always just inform Patrick and count on him

  15. By the way, i just bought Home n Decor July08 & it came with a catalog of courses & workshops for interior designing & renovation, organised by the People's Association (PA). These courses are also very affordable, some cost less than $10 only. Here are some examples: Renovating with a Budget http://one.pa.gov.sg/CRMSPortal/CRMSPortal...570701&CWT= The ABC in interior Design/ Styling in Interior Design/ Home Trends eg. Modern, Modern Oriental, Balinese http://one.pa.gov.sg/CRMSPortal/CRMSPortal...page_2&CWT= All you need to know abt beautifying your home http://one.pa.gov.sg/CRMSPortal/CRMSPortal...549274&CWT= Professional Chef’s kitchen http://one.pa.gov.sg/CRMSPortal/CRMSPortal...546947&CWT= If i haven't done my reno i would've definitely check them out
  16. Hi Jessie, I don't know if you'll be interested in this, but the People's Association is havin a class on Modern Oriental Theme interior design as in below link: http://one.pa.gov.sg/CRMSPortal/CRMSPortal...547127&CWT= Maybe u can get ideas from this class, after all it's only $5 for member or $10 for non-member
  17. I didn't do L-box/ false ceiling, only did cornice, to make my area feel more spacious (i personally feel pressed down under a false ceiling, so didn't opt for that ) Sure no prob, u can ask anything or PM me if u want, i'll try to help as much as i can Meanwhile... i'm still trying to find where is my card reader, that's y i'm still unable to post any pics after i move in..gotta look thru the boxes 1 by 1..wish i can take leave ..tired man
  18. soon soon, when we settle our stuffs
  19. Thanks very very much CPE Don't worry, the time will come sooner then u think...actually you must enjoy your planning & renovation period, because this is the time where u'll be very full of hope & anticipation ..When my reno ended, my hubby n i felt a little reluctant for Patrick to handover to us ..during the reno period we came almost everyday, watching in anticipation as our house slowly unveils itself & surprise us. Before that everything was in sketches or imagination only, but slowly those became real and we're quite satisfied with the results It has been a good experience, not exactly smooth or perfect, but we've learnt things that we nvr knew . Now that the anticipation is over, it's time to kick back n enjoy the fruits of our labour...well actually not that relaxed yet, cos we still need to unpack Anyway we still need to decor our house a bit, so still something to look forward to
  20. hi mwerkz, mine is considered a total overhaul incl wiring, accessories n everything...However the pricing is pretty subjective as it also depends on the type of material u choose, the quality factor, the bits n pieces u wanna customise for your house etc. For me i felt the simple look is lasting & relaxing after a hard day's work ..Just choose something that u personally feel comfortable in & won't get bored after some time..As i remembered Mace ( a senior forummer here) once mentioned - make your house look like a home, not a hotel Hi Jack, Thank you thank you, now i'm stayin more closer to u liao in this yishun area, heheh Anyway the other day i saw the tv consol in ur blog, very nice , too bad for me it's out of my budget..nevertheless u got really good taste in all your stuffs, so can't wait to see ur reno complete too
  21. Hi CPE, Hehee ..actually we've moved in last Sat...the reno was completed a week before that... The moving has been a very tiring process, now all our stuffs haven't finish unpacking yet..so haven't got time to update this blog Will definitely post the before & after reno pics here for comparison when we settle down everything.. Even so, living in our very own home feels really good, like a dream, even better than we imagined...
  22. hi lovee_cdc, Tried to PM u but your mailbox full liao
  23. Hi Kunning, Thanks The worktop is actually granite top. We first opted for black solid surface top, however it can be easily scratched and the mark will be visibly white in a black background, therefore we chose granite
  24. Patrick came by my house to install all the toilet accessories by himself, as his workers were on their way. So he carried everything up, got down & dirty to do the job by himself first. At the end he even helped to sweep & clean the floor !! He’s very humble, hardworking & meek guy. Although we praised him, he just shyly & humbly shrugged it off. He has been in this line for very long also, learning the trade since young, so his experience is very extensive. Although for reno got minor imperfections like dent etc, we just need to tell him and he’ll solve it without any complaints or questions. I feel really happy that my house is turned into a home by Ho Bee. Would recommend Patrick in a heartbeat
  25. Wow, Rachel, i finally get to see your house pics (cos my company firewall block the images this afternoon), very very nice, looks very cosy & comfortable
