  1. Hi Sorry I don't have the cost of this as it was lumped with other items
  2. Hi Pokia Board was made by our contractor. As for the price, I can only remember it's > $1k. As for high or low 1k, really forgot liao. But I've seen people buying a few magnetic board from ikea and combining them to a big board.
  3. Hi Pokia. Fridge costs probably around 3.2 k, from mega discount store. Definitely much cheaper than Courts and APS. You can also try asking Unilite.
  4. Hi bianZi,Sorry as we can't remember the details of the laminate and price. But it's definitely cheaper than those popular pole system brands such as OPSH or alumix, and it's chosen by our contractor.
  5. Hi makanology, Relax.... My wife and I understand how you and your hubby feel. We had similar experience during our first reno. Though experience was horrific (ya , we quarreled almost everyday too, physically banged table with "ID", had not used our toilet sink for 5 yrs. Ya we brushed our teeth in the shower), we had learnt a lot. Just treat this as a learning process so that you'll be better equipped for the next round ( seems easy for me to say this as you have spent a lot, but what's done is done) You guys just tahan for bout 5 yrs (which was what we did), then start all over (a tip though, stop buying things as you really have lots, haha). As for some forum members who praised him to the skies (much better than how I praise K), most likely they're relatives la (my wife said it could be Alan in disguise). Just /ignore like IRC. ( you belong to our generation hence you'll know what's IRC)
  6. SMEG fridge Our fridge has finally arrived after 6 long months. Order was placed on 6th July 2013 and delivery was made today. Credit to be given to Mr K for choosing the colour. We wanted some other colours but Mr K said "Olang 美“. We have absolute trust in his taste and of course went with his suggestion. No regrets. p.s. Please note that Mr K is not obliged to do such things, such as choosing of fridge colours, but my hubby trusts his taste more than mine and so help was sought from Mr K. Thank you to Mr K for his help in choosing the fridge and good taste!
  7. Hi makanology ,Merry Christmas ! Your roasting tray looks robust. Can it be used over direct flame as well ? Am looking for a big roasting tray where I can deglaze it over the stove and make gravy.
  8. Hi Makanology Thank you for your kind words. Hope you're enjoying your Christmas Eve in your cosy house too. Have a blessed Christmas! Hi Greg Sharp eyes! Thank you for your kind words too! Have a blessed Christmas! Hi Chergaby it's from Etsy. You can do a search on CathrineHolm on Etsy, there are lots of sellers selling such posters (very addictive) Hi Claypot The tile reference number is D915022 (15x90).

  11. The post prior to that wasn't a signature. Can see big and clearly on my phone. Think he /she too lazy to scroll up.
  12. Wth ?? Words so big in the previous post and coloured some more....
  13. Before I forget, the detectable handle is light as compared to the mop's heavy head(when filled with water). This may cause the handle to crack if you frequently lift it from its handle. But the good thing about the heavy base is that you don't need to exert strength during cleaning as compared to conventional mops. Remember to keep the receipt / warranty card just in case the handle breaks.
  14. Hi Redder. For fragrance, I think it's up to individual ? We're ok with no fragrance. Ermm if fragrance is an issue you can consider potpourri ? The cloth is quite ok to clean (we hand wash it, though ang mos throw it in washing machine) But if you want it looking brand new after using it a few times, it's quite impossible la. They sell the refill cloths at most DIY stores. Regarding water marks, I think not a major cause of concern as it's not as wet as compared to conventional mop. So far no water marks / streaks on our floor. Hope it helps.
  15. Hi, Yes it works better than a mop. Steam kills germs and dissolves stubborn dirt, this is especially so after doing heavy cooking where the floor feels oily. Less work as you don't need to squeeze off excess water everytime you mop an area (as compared to conventional mop), and you don't need cleaning detergent for steam mop. All you need to do is to change the micro fibre cloth if it gets dirty. Only con is you need to wash the micro fibre cloth.
  16. Hi WonderRach and Merrygoround. Contact is 9022 2321
  17. We think it's not worth getting 1 just for making stew leh.
  18. Hi Vanessa. It's better to sweep/vacuum first then steam mop as I feel the microfiber cloth on the mop doesn't remove hairs/ larger dust particles. By the way a silly question from me too...other than stews, what other things can we cook using a Dutch oven ?
  19. Really like everything that you're doing. V nice!
  20. Eh sometimes cannot really trust 100%. They may adjust the water pressure/amount of water etc here and there to create the perfect flush for every toilet bowl.
  21. Hi gryfindor. Toto doesn't use syphonic (tornado) flush anymore for their new models. The only 1 that uses tornado is the old model, which looks very retro la if you don't mind.
