Hi peeps, I just met my neighbour for dinner last night and she told me abt her overall experience with her ID which I felt obliged to share her experience with all of you, especially when most of us are looking for cheap and competitive quotation like her. As she's a first timer, she did not want to anyhow engage an ID and got chopped, so she asked for some referral ID contacts from her fellow Punggol neighours. She then shortlisted a few quotations that are cheap and competitive and met up with the respective ID for further discussion. The couple was very attracted by the cheap quotation given by this *spam* Services & Consultant & they signed a contract with him at $25k nett. They emphasized that they have a tight budget and probed abt hidden cost. The ID assured that there's none and he's very nice and they could trust him. However,things changed at the first meeting after they signed the contract. The ID was unresponsive and they had to chase for their first design. When they dun like it, the ID was displeased and pushed them to accept the design. He did not ask for their requirements in the first place when he did the design and claimed there was no need to cos it was a classic design. In addition, the ID also told them that they have to top for $450 for an additional design feature and several other items which they deemed as hidden cost. to them, it's like he purposely never include in the main contract and then after they sign, he said need to top up for item a, b n c etc. Subsquently, when the ID draft a new quotation, he charge $780 for the new design feature which was originally quotated $450. He was very unprofessional and even make very negative comments like 'im the salesman leh.. u tink u can trust all i said?', ' it's a waste of time talking to u.. i can clinch alot of deal during this 1 or 2 hrs..' in all.. My friend provided the ID with feedback when they are dissatisfied with his service, but he totally ignore their sms and even said, SMS that are too long and not nice to the eyes/ears, he will delete. It was a very bad experience for the couple.. I could really tell my neighbour was very traumatised by the whole incident. She was very upset and I felt very angry too just by hearing her. In the end, they have no choice but to go to small claims court to settle cos there's no way to continue the proj with the ID.. But the ID still want to charge them penalty 30% for terminating the contract. There are still many many bad incidents with her ID which i really cant share all with u all.. like he said to them.. i charge u cheap cheap.. then i charge n charge n charge.. then u just gotta pay n pay n pay!! u r the ones with problems, not me! omg.. i fainted upon hearing this.. i really cannot imagine her ID behave like this.. n btw.. the neighbour who passed her the contacts also had a big bad time with the ID. in case u r curious.. her ID is *spam* Service & Consultant but her contract was with *spam* Interior Design. Oh, she was also 'tricked' into signing a contract with *spam* Interior Design which is not HDB registered!! so peeps, pls make sure u sign a contract with HDB registered contractors as this is a rule set by HDB. They also only found out after they went small claims courts. To clarify, this is not a bad mouth thread, i just do not wan to see more young couples like my neighbours being suffered at the hands of such unethical ID and hope we do not get deceived by the cheap price.
