  1. @Batman: You have already ordered some items right? What have you received already? How long did shipping take? I was looking at bathroom sink with cabinet sets... OMG, sooo many pretty designs! I have been to 20 over shops in Singapore and still cannot find an ideal one. Choices here are so limited, and at twice the price Only concern now is whether it is safe to ship sinks & cabinets. Will it reach me in one complete piece? Those who have made purchases before, any tips on how to estimate cost of shipping?
  2. Yup, I walked the whole Jalan Besar and compared prices for each item I want... So tiring... Yeap, Royal Fanco prices are quite good too
  3. Wow... so exciting to se many people buying from Taobao! I got most of my wedding stuffs from there and am thinking of doing the same for my house items now. I am concerned about shipping cost and packaging of bulky items though. Will read this thread in detail again and save the referred contacts In the meantime, those who have already received the items you ordered, pls share your feedback so we can get from the same supplier Checking for reliability of supplier and quality of the items they sell can be a real pain
  4. I have went to many shops looking for kitchen stainless steel sink & bathroom sink with cabinet set... So far, Poh Seng at Jalan Besar is the cheapest for SS sinks.. Anyone bought from them before? Any feedback? The prices are so much lower that I am kinda skeptical why it is so cheap (typical Singaporean!)
  5. Good advice... Haha, thanks so much!
  6. The Korean brand is Rubine I think... Am thinking if I should just take the plunge and buy a 1.2mm sink, whatever the brand Yes, there is a promotion by KHK for Franke sink, around $476. But the salesgirl told me the thinkness is only 0.8-1mm. Haiz
  7. Hi all, need advice again... I've been searching and researching sinks over the last month+. Have been switching between granite sink, SS sink, square with sharp corners, square with easy clean corners.. HEADACHE! Renovation has started today and I need to purchase soon. Am quite decided on SS square sink, preferably rounded corners. Have seen many brands - Elkay, Monic, SQM, Baron, Franke. Honestly, I do not know how to tell the difference They all sounded quite solid when u knock on it. They all come with the padding under the sink. But price ranges from $250 to $500. I want to do undermount so I guess the quality of the sink is really important? Though I have been thinking, it's kinda not common to hear of SS sinks "spoiling"? Am I being too ignorant? Those who bought the Kraus sink, what made you choose it over the other brands available in SG? Pls share your experiences. Thanks...
  8. I ordered the RB2CG & FX900 from Jerome during the promo. Best price I could find for this combi! Delivery and installation will be in about 2 weeks. Just want to share that Jerome has been very helpful throughout my weeklong sms & email enquiries. Appreciate the advice he has given so far
  9. Yes, I also want to know how feasible it is to buy items from Taobao, especially bulky items due to shipping or taxes etc. Anyone has bought any home furnishings before?
  10. I just collected the keys for my BTO in Punggol. Am planning to install aircon in 2 bedrooms and the living room. Should I go for sys 3 or have 2 compressors (if it is allowed)? I am considering Daikin, Panasonic or Mitsubishi HI. Any recommendations, anyone? Thanks
  11. Thanks for all the sharing. Yah, really not easy to compare and decide. Really depends on how you balance between price and quality. I am still so torn. Just looking at types of cookers, hobs, sinks, taps can kill me Err, sorry to ask, what is epoxy padding? Also, are granite sinks good? Lastly, what is the els bottom grid in the Kraus sink for? To drain off liquids so the dishes don't get too dirty? Sorry for the many noob questions -_-"
  12. Wah, my eyes are swimming after reading through this thread. Never knew so much knowledge is needed just in a kitchen sink -_-" And quite surprised that a sink can cost more than $500, haha. I have not started my reno yet, so not sure the details of what is needed in my kitchen. Saw many flyers with promotions on kitchen packages averaging around $10k. Wonder what sinks they use? For those who recommend certain brands which are better, care to enlighten in which aspects are those brands of better quality? So I know how to make my comparisons Thanks
  13. Hi gakuseisean, Wow, I am impressed by the designs you put together yourself. We just collected the keys to our flat last week. Am still at a loss with regards to renovations, despite scrolling through dozens of pictures. If you don't mind helping us with some ideas, I can send you pictures of our place for some suggestions Much appreciated!
