The black and grey goes with the industrial feel I am going for, rest of colours i kept strictly to fall/autumnal colors so at least the color story is consistent.,. The yellow and dark grey combi is kinda modern though, so still unsure how that room will play out. The purple was a deliberate move away from safe colours, it was supposed to be grey, but decided to just go for the jugular haha

am overall quite happy with the progress, furniture will mostly be delivered in 2 weeks time, by then toilet and kitchen carpentry will be all up.

Floor has been polished and re-laquered? Painting of rooms/door frames all done! Entrance to my flat: entrance to my bedroom: my bedroom colours! my living room colour! might have overly softened the raw masculine look...but oh well..

just got revised quote from contractor...exploded budget....i added additional work to stairs in front of house (cheap), change main door and bedroom door ( normal price) then add a scissor gate (normal price), add together very expensive!!! but this will be the final costs....am glad I did not decide to add even more stuff to my flat. decided to paint inner living room with purple, kitchen will be basically black cabinets/cupboards + brown 'leather' doors and internal wood PVC? Main door and bedroom will be painted orange. i think.

i got a tall but narrow fridge...the bosch black one....i need a big fridge, i love my drinks cold and my ice creams..hehe

they actually cut the tiles neatly before the cement was up..can see from my previous pics. i think same same..as long as tile cut nicely

the MBR tiles a bit rougher...so less slippery...i wanted the common one to have the less slippery tile..

decided to take a walk around Potong Pasir as I really could not tahan the dust/noise from cutting tiles....the poor workers, how they tahan.. really like the neighbourhood...air is fresh especially after rain!

Slow and steady progress! kitchen tiles/base for carpentry all done! Toilet tiling done. think i've chosen the wrong tiles for each toilet..haha MBR toilet while waiting for my contractor today...inhaled loads of dust...really a lot of dust!

eh...i'm not painting my bricks..i like the raw feel of it..but must see it after they add cement between the spaces in the wall then i decide... as for painting..i always thought that is last...at least for my contractor he puts that as last priority.

completed brick wall! now to choose a colour for the walls, was thinking purple/eggplant, will go with my red console, orange sofa and pink rugs....... Love the huge gaps between the bricks...but have to fill it up with cement....if not cleaning will be hellish!

My strangely bluish coloured floor tile....central portion is where my kitchen island is going to be! lines look straight..and i appreciate that the tiler cut the tiles to be in line with the wall
