I agree with you - nice furniture is hard to come by, especially if you are after a certain niche style... Some are nice but too ex! -

Hi Valerie, Your t-blog is a source of inspiration for me, especially love your Peranakan tiles back splash. How is this back splash working for u so far? Is it hard to clean after cooking? I am also thinking of DIY study table from Ikea kitchen top.. May I know where did you get the table legs from and is it hard to install? Did you treat the kitchen top wood before installing? Noticed you have little carpentery... Where do you purchase your wardrobe for instance? Last but not least, can share the 3 contractors' contacts whom you shortlisted much earlier? Thanks so much! -
Thanks for the tips! Cos my future apartment is marble floor which totally doesn't match the style I want... Do you know what exactly is veneer floor? Is it those engineered wood flooring? Btw, your boys are cute

Hi guys, first time homeowner here, hope to seek advice from experienced forumers here. We will be getting our apartment in end Feb 2013, so reno can probably start in early March. I know there will be plenty of sales end of the year, if we order furniture during year end sale, is it possible to have them delivered only in March next year? Haven't buy furniture before so not sure how is the procedure/ usual timeline like... Then again, if we were to select furniture so early, do you guys suggest that we engage a contractor/ID at about the same time? I know it may be very kiasu and early to engage contractor/ID, but wanna avoid the case of buy furniture liao then later have to alter the design/layout/colour etc just to fit the furniture. Hope to hear your advice. Thanks in advance!

Hi there, I read through all 16 pages of your t-blog at one go, really love the theme/furniture and home accessories choice. And your DIY brick wall is amazing! XD I have not renovated house before, so not very sure how it works. If I have some ideas in mind, roughly sketch out for contractor, is that ok? Do I need to be very specific in details eg where I want lights, dimension of kitchen cabinet etc? Or would your contractor give advice as well? Possible to PM me your contractor's contact? Tried to pm you but was not able to do so. Thanks so much!
