  1. By the way, where did you get the rug from?
  2. After reading some renotalkers recommending Sealy Mayfair for sidesleepers, I went to try it, it is SO good! Even more comfy than the Omazz mattress I almost bought. Chop chop ordered Mayfair. Yay, finally can strike it off from the list after the super tiring trying process
  3. Hey Bigbull, thanks so much for the tips! Ceiling/pendant light don't have to change the plugs, right? Hmm, so 65daigou helped you get replacement/refunds for faulty lamps after you tested? How was their service in this area?
  4. Looking very nice! Your Grafunkt TV console adds a really nice pop of colour!
  5. How did your carpenter touch up the lines? One contractor also told me it's "like that", cos the plywood inside is brownish colour, the white part cannot cover fully at the joint.
  6. Thanks! I ordered mine already, height 60cm. In the end didn't buy the same sofa as yours. Got ours from Lorenzo, love the high back and colour!
  7. Thanks for the info! Eyeing a few pieces from TB...
  8. Thanks for the info, vacanthost!
  9. WA, din know a lamp arm like this can break due to wrong bulb. I'm still thinking of ordering some pendant and wall lamps from Taobao. Btw, if buy from TB, can use locally? need to check wattage tc?
  10. LOVE your geometric tiles on your staircase!!! Where did you get them from and roughly how much ah?
  11. Nice finds! Are you going to fix an electric point on the wall near where you intend to hang the clock?
  12. To add on what MrsLoo shared, granite is cheaper compared to quartz. Caesarstone and Silestone are more renowned brands whereas Iquartz is from Malaysia (if i remember correctly), so cheaper compared to the former two brands. In terms of strength, i think quartz is the strongest. For these materials, there will usually be joining lines on the countertop. If you prefer a seamless look, can consider solid surface instead. Got reputable brands like Samsung and LG. HTH
  13. You are so lucky to have found a place with terrazzo, can save quite a bit on tiling! Will check out Ah Huat. Regarding the track light, don't think I'm buying any time soon cos I haven't confirm my lighting plan. Thanks for asking
  14. LOVE your Terrazzo tiles, so pretty! How much are they psf? My kitchen colour combi is somehow similar to yours - white and wood. Do you reckon the green terrazzo tiles can fit in nicely in the kitchen? Btw, may I know where did you get the track light with E27 holder from?
  15. Yes, I think there is warm, warm white and daylight. So yours should be warm white. I intend to change all my downlights, there are quite a number of them, better be safe than sorry! Have a fabulous 2013!
  16. Er, I know it's subjective, but do you find the warm white a tad yellowish? Thinking if I should go with warm white or daylight for my new place... My current home's warm white is too yellowish to my liking. Then again, I heard different brands' warm white do varies, and Philips gives the most accurate colour temperature. If too dark, can buy higher wattage bulb? That grafunkt light ah?
  17. Your island looks nice! So yours is super open kitchen concept huh. Are you using white light?
  18. Hi there, can PM me your PE contact please? Thanks & Happy New Year!
  19. Contractor will have PEs contacts. I also heard that some condo's management office may require home owners to use PE endorsed by them. Anyone with affordable PE contact?
  20. Oh I think i saw this brand but didn't try cos never heard before. Maybe i suaku So which model did you buy and how much?
  21. Yah i know those are more industrial but I'm not a fan of dark colour or stainless steel countertop. Maybe just stick to using the wire mesh door for door cabinet only And no, not going for cement screed walls. Should be using white subway tiles as backsplash and small exposed wall in the kitchen.
  22. Sorry, don't have pictures cos it's custom made. I ordered from Second Charm, you can refer to their blog, they have many photos there. Hope that helps! Oh yah hor, maybe it's cover for everything... Actually if just just change seat and back cushion covers, can do a two-tone effect! Cos if I do second set, I may go for either yellow or burnt orange colour. Intend to go try out mattress at Robinsons one day, will definitely try Tempur! What size is yours and how much is the damage?
  23. This is what I wanted to do for my island. Do you think it can gel nicely with my kitchen - cement screed-like tiles, wood laminate kitchen cabinets and white counter top? I'm not very sure about it Mine is a small island lah, not sure if it's possible though, need to wait for PE to check if a particular wall is hackable. *fingers crossed*
