  1. Heard some ppl say LED is glaring and not good for reading especially, like the words will 散开来 (blur out). Have u experienced this before?
  2. Don't worry, I will definitely "show off" some pictures regardless of whether they are flower shades or not. Hehe I'm deliberating over getting LED downlight or those that use CFL E27 bulb. Not very inclined towards LED cos I heard drivers may spoil. And I guess my usage won't be that heavy, probably no more than 5 hours a day, the high cost doesn't justify this?
  3. Thanks for the link! I'm thinking of doing something similar on the wall above my sofa
  4. waa, high tech sia. I wonder if cats will be afraid of this robot?
  5. Good idea! Also considering to put up framed artwork or photographs, if I do, then may use white tracklights. I know LED tracklights are the norm now, besides it will be those use halogen bulb. Are there any tracklights which use energy saving bulb and doesn't emit alot of heat?
  6. Yah, cos I asked him when he starting work, was abit surprised when he told us Thursday. lol We chop chop bought our stuff at Scanteak (cos already recce once). We rushed down there knowing the promo of bookshelves is just over, decided to try out luck, and 顺便 order our bedframe on the spot. And that book case promo is still on, just slightly different pricing! Oh yeah, let me go ask him about the price.
  7. Is it weird if my living and dining areas as well as kitchen are quite done up, but this walkway leading to bedrooms are left as is? Seems rather empty, hmm.... Should I add some pendant lights? Or perhaps hang some art works on the wall?
  8. Pai seh, bugging you about subway tile again. Just to confirm, you are using smaller (20cm x 10cm?) 3D version? If so, I can go ask Alan for the exact pricing and if the price fits into his 'cap', save me a trip down to LSH as we got many places to go this weekend! Did Lian Seng Hin give you a sample to bring home?
  9. Ha, so your house is the one Alan started hacking works today! Our bedframe is also from Scanteak, we bought the Parant frame.
  10. Saw a demo of that L brand mop system but the price is a big deterrence. Went to search on TB and found something similar, just that this bucket doesn't come with wheels. Added this to my shortlist! Hehehe http://item.taobao.com/item.htm?spm=a230r.1.10.46.7Pxqgb&id=19901792862
  11. Cool, thanks for the tutorial! Just a quick question - this is direct Visa payment right? So no need use Visa to top-up 支付宝 and pay using the latter?
  12. Ha, yes I have her number. Will call her... I'm quite good talking to aunties & uncles too
  13. There is always next time, since Tangs private sale happens quite frequently, right? Can't wait for the next Taka sale!
  14. YAY, bought my Dyson vacuum cleaner today at Tangs private sale! There is 10% direct discount and 12% rebate
  15. Er... after pendant lights are installed, can shift its position? Especially if the lighting point is already there...
  16. Anyone knows if it's better to correspond with May from Amcon in Chinese? Cos she replied my email, but didn't quite answer my questions. Do they pro-rate shipping fee if items are above 1 cbm but less than 2cbm? Do they collect GST if total shipment is less than S$400? How long can they hold the items for you at their China warehouse so that you can consolidate all orders in one single shipment? Similarly, once the shipment reaches Singapore, how long can they store in their Singapore warehouse? Is there any additional storage fee? If any kind soul can help with the above, I'll be really grateful. Thanks!
  17. Just curious, which Miele model are you using? I tried out that Karcher vacuum and steam model today, though I'm quite impressed with its steaming ability, i do not like its handle at all, given its high price tag, I'd expect better ergonomics. Well, but this is subjective, maybe it's just me.
  18. Sure, no hurry. Since it's quite an expensive investment, I shall buy only after doing all the homework
  19. Hahaha! Yah lah, pai seh Makanology for commenting on these here! I believe DC24 doesn't run on rechargeable batteries, with this specs, I seriously doubt so! http://www.dyson.com.sg/store/product.asp?product=DC24-ALLFLOORS Oh, it didn't occur to me to try Dyson DC39 Animal cos it's quite expensive. Should have try it out! The promotor told me I don't actually need it if I have one or two cats, she'd recommend that model for homes with dogs
  20. The red caged lamp diameter is 20cm, height is 25cm. If you are interested and don't mind waiting, is it possible that I confirm with you if I am selling this end of this month? Cos I'm getting keys on 26 Feb, hope to get a better sense of space in the walk-in-wardrobe and then decide if I have an extra to let go
