Hi Niko ! PMed you the contact! The price I think depends on how long and wide and what else you are looking for in the concrete sink. So my pricing might not be related to yours. However for reference, I have seen the following prices, 450 , 680 , 980 . The pricing differs a lot because, some is just purely concrete sink , some includes tiling, like mine includes, sink support, tiling, laminate, drawers , casement door. Also the length of the sink support matters. mine is about 6 feet. most is shorter than this. Hope this helps.

I guess your EM is a new SOBF flat. When I was selecting my flat there was like 3 EM, most of them were low floor. Ohhhhh.....you were referring to the tiles that HDB provided me not the tiles I selected. My mistake. Yeah, they are kind greenish and the texture, when you touch they are not straight, they have a curvey feeling. I kinda liked it, bu felt the gaps / lines in between were kinda wide and they used super white grout and for both the bathrooms and kitchen. I felt these areas will get dark and dirty soon with all the bathing and cooking . So I hacked and changed everything. ;p hmm.....thats interesting,..... I stayed in Marsiling Drive too! before I moved to my new flat! Your EM looks nice!! Well, have a great and smooth journey!

PMed you! Take note its a Malaysian transportation company and thus the Malaysian number.

Ok. PM you! =)

HI MK, This area is our service yard. Our purpose to built the kerb is to prevent the water from coming out and flooding the whole service yard with all the hair , shampoo etc... So the kerb definitely helps prevent that. But I don't think it will prevent water splashes. That we can just mop it off easily. Also our meow is unique in that she just stands still when we bathe her. It kinda meets our purposes. Hope this helps.

We knew we needed a place to bathe and blow dry our pet meow, so this was a the best place to do that.

Hi Texas, I will PM you the contact of the transport. In regards to the brick supplier. just type Craftstone Singapore into Google and you will find their website. Just look for the malaysian contact under the contact address. For you info and to reduce your time researching...;p I went looking for brick wall and stone and found that there are many different brands selling in Malaysia, some of them are definitely cheaper then Craftstone so you might want to go check them out also. For me, since I know a lot of people using craft brick and stone, I decided to buy from them. I do not have the other brands contacts, however if you go to the tile shops in J.B. you will find them. I found them in Skudai , J.B town and Kulai. For Craft brick and stone, the price is different based on the type of brick or stone you choose. They have many different types, so you gotta check with them based on the model you choose. For your reference. One model I was looking for, 1 box in Singapore was 83 dollars whereas in Malaysia it was 83 ringgit. In terms of the transport delivery, my cousin arranged for me as he knew the owner . If you want, I can PM you the contact, you can ask them whatever questions you have and see if you want to use them? I know that they can deliver to your doorstep but the price might be different based on your requirements. You might want to tell them clearly if you need them to carry it to 8 floors or there is lift etc... Let them gauge and tell you. For me, they just delivered to the flat lobby and I got the help of my contractors to carry it. Hope this helps. =)

Yup....Yup, like them too! but the craft stone needs a lot of maintenance. As the craftstone has a lot of gaps in between dust can get all over, so you need to do a weekly or 3 days once clean up of the area. If you live near a construction area or highway, or road then you might have a clean very often.

Hi jardim, I don't recall as I don't have the receipt with me. I do however recall that when I queried in Singapore for one box of a particular type it was like S$ 83 dollars and when I asked in J.B. it was like 83 ringgit. The price differs based on the type of craftstone or brick you get, so there is no one fix price for all the different types. I will msg you the transport contact.

Hi Anna, Thank you for the compliments. Much appreciated. Its in the 800's I see..... hmmm... Is your corridor to your flat kinda narrow and your EM is in a low floor ? Mine was actually March 2012 SOBF. ;p I agree, to me Woodlands and Marsiling is the same. I actually have been staying near the Indian temple and my new flat is near to Blk 131 coffeeshop. ;p I jogg / walk at the jetty... now called "Woodlands Waterfront" How about you? hmmm..... my tiles..... the pictures are probably not that clear. ;p I don't have any greenish tiles...;p Once you have uploaded the pics, I would be able to see and then know if it is similar or I am color blind..... Hmmm.... Strict budget....so you are going with a contractor then? or ID? Chose already? Better clarify all the details and specifications before signing the contract. I planned for a few months before I started my reno, something I carried over from my profession.

Hi DT, Good Luck and be wise in your choices!! =)

This is the "Hafele" brand. I bought it from Hafele showroom. They have many different types of sinks also, but I like this the best.

Hi MK, So far, it has been pretty smooth, but also me and my partner monitor the progress everyday and inform them if we find anything that we don't like and they change it for us . The craftstone is going to be used for my TV wall. I am still deciding to use track lights or just down lights for that tv wall area. The 42 inch Plasma TV will be surrounded by the craftstone. Hoping that it turns out well!

Hi DTbabies, Interesting nick you have there. ;p Can I have Alan's contact? I will PM you Alan's no. Where did you go to see the tiles in JB? Is it worth getting the tiles from there or it's only applicable for craftbricks? I went to view the tiles in J.B, but didn't get them there.I got my tiles from SBH. There are some really good looking tiles in J.B. and cheap also. However, since I am not changing tiles for my entire house, just kitchen and two bathrooms, the cost savings vs the trouble I need to go through if there is a need for more tiles due to breakage, not enough etc... I felt was not worth it, so I didn't. I went to a few shops, couple in Kulai, Skudai and J.B town itself. If you want the names, tell me I will P.M. you. I got the craftbricks & stones as the number of boxes I got is about 24 and will be getting another 2 to 3 more. I was doing about three areas and the cost savings was pretty big compared to if I bought in Singapore with GST even higher. The savings can be used for doing other parts of the house. =) Can I have the transportation contact number as well? I will PM you the transportation contact. By the way, I like your choices of tiles in the toilet. Are they expensive? Thanx! we hoped it would turn out well. We went with Matt instead of gloss. We chose dark tiles so that it would hard to see stains, especially after a few years of usage. It would still look good. The tiles are actually pretty reasonable. Alan gave us up till 3.80 for selecting the tiles but most of our tiles were like 2:20 - 2.70, one of tiles I think was like 3.20. Also, I got to say, there were a couple of Indian guys working there who were tiles specialist there, they were great!, we were blur at selecting tiles, they helped us a lot in selecting tiles with their superb knowledge and experience. I didn't go with Alan because we wanted to go and take our own sweet time looking and selecting. We just selected the tiles with the help of the Indian tile specialist and pass Alan the list of lists for him to order sent to the house. I want to redo my kitchen. How much is your kitchen renovation? The cost of the renovation actually varies a lot based on the size of your kitchen and what you are intending to do there? Are you going to put a fridge base? washing machine base? mosaic? concrete sink? or just wooden? etc... etc.... So, it won't really help you if I told you my cost.... might mislead you actually, because, I cut some things, and did a lot of customizations, plus buying a lot of the hardware myself etc.... I think the best would be to figure out what you exactly want, and then ask quotations from a few contractors / ID's and see the price. But price should not be the only item you should look at , Communication and workmanship, easy to get defects rectified etc.. all these play a part. In my opinion, so far Alan's hackers and tilers sub cons have been pretty good. I do not know about the rest as I have not gone to that stage yet. Alan's cost is also pretty good and that is one of the main reasons I chose him. He was able to suggest other materials that I can afford to make it cheaper when I said I cannot afford that price. Hope all these helps. =)

Hmm.... when you budget, make sure you cater for some extra, because what you plan would be based on what you want, but based on the condition of the house, you might need to do more than what you planned for. just my two cents. =)

Wah! Another Woodlander! Welcome to Reno talk! May I ask where is this EM in? There were a couple available in the 800 areas and couple in the 400 areas. I also got my flat in the SBF scheme. Decided not to get a EM, as my parents might have problems climbing the stairs. Instead selected a EA that was 179 sqm. Have you been staying in Woodlands for a long time, I stayed in Marsiling since I was a kid ;p Hope you have a great smooth seamless renovation journey!

I am guessing, this is going to need some attention to the tiling by the tiler. ;p So, it would be good to go view their tiling as they do it to make sure it is done the way you are thinking of it and aligned the way you want it. -
HI BC, Mine is an undermount. I was specifically looking for one that has a hole for the taps. I bought it at 379 with GST. It has one year warranty. It is made in Germany so hope it works well for a very long time.
