HI bb_1314, Thank you for the info. I actually specified the height for the drawers but the carpenter misunderstood and did all three drawers to be the same height and that causes a problem for me as my pots and pans some of them are really tall like 12 inches and they won't fit it . After much discussion, they are going to redo and it would lead to my top drawers becoming really small. Do you know what is the internal height of your top drawers?

Hi MK, Congrats on your marriage! =) -
Me too! I have to go through so many struggles just to get the kitchen the way I want. Struggles on budget, communicating design, people saying that it is not possible to do it at my place can only do in bungalow etc... etc... etc.... It would be very satisfying to see the design come to fruition. =)

HI MK, So how did it go? Everything completed? -
HI, I have also been considering the pros and cons of stainless steel and tampered glass. I made my decisions based on the following. If any of it helps you, that is great....;P After much thinking and research about durability, safety, usage, aesthetics etc.. these are my findings... 1) Rinnai Lifetime Warranty - My understanding of this Rinnai lifetime warranty is that they warranty it for lifetime , but they will only change the glass once . After that you have to pay 300 to change it. I asked about the inner flame ceran glass model RB 2CG & 3CG. 2) Stainless Steel - The stainless steel over a period of time has a high tendency to rust, but that does not mean it will rust. A lot of it depends on how well you take care of it. Do you clean after every cooking session thoroughly and then clean again with dry clothe . I know of people whose stainless steel rush within 3 years and others never rust for at least 6 years.... A lot depends on your maintenance. 3) Scratches - Scratches can occur on both Stainless Steel as well as glass . It how well you take care of it. 4) Tampered Glass - Compared to Stainless Steel, Glass will not rust , however it will crack if not taken care properly or use improperly. So you gotta evaluate which is more important to you. Crack or rust? All of it depends again on how you use it. Also there is two types of glass in Rinnai Selection, Tampered glass and Ceran Glass. There are lots of details on the differences, but in essence ceran glass is more tougher than just tampered glass. But the cost is also higher. So you got to evaluate based on your usage , maintenance schedule , budget ...which is better for you. hope this brief intro of what little I know helps you.

I agree with you. For me , I would rather not have aircon if I have to have a wardrobe that has trunking running through it from one end to the other end. Even for the very short distance through my wardrobe I was against it, but the alternatives were worst. Whether it is run up or below , my trunking still has to go a short distance through the cabinet so I decided below as it is easier to hide. I told them to go through the wall and come out the other room and then run from top to bottom . Lets see how it turns out on Friday. =)

Hi Edmund, You might be looking at a different model I guess? the one I got has no hole inside. Its just an empty open space. But the plumber told me that for Malaysia most of don't have holes as most of them are concealed ones and thus there is a opening at the back. I can take a picture of the empty space and the location where the plumbers made an opening for both the pipes. Post it later.

Hi Jus4fun, Looking at your specs, got a question? if you on all three aircon at the same time, wouldn't it strain your compressor and it can lead to issue in the long run? I thought the compressor is 28BTU and the house units is 18+10+10 = 38? pardon me if I am totally wrong here.....;P

Hi jus4fun, I don't have any ID, we are the ID's. So, I am planning the route for my aircon trunking as well as all the other details. I chose a system 2 and a single split for a number of reasons actually . The combination I had is definitely more expensive but I think in the long run it would be a better choice. 1. Like you mentioned the trunking is one of the reasons. My main compressor is in the master bedroom. The distance from my master bedroom to my study room is more than 25 - 26 Feet which is pretty far. There would be a big mrt track running through my living room into my dining and then to my study room. I wanted to totally avoid that. 2. Due to the distance, the cooling would also be pretty bad so another reason as to why I didn't want to do it. 3. Based on usage patterns and the different personalities in the house, I expect the study room air-con to be less used and the master bedroom and next room to be used more, so I expect more wear and tear to the bigger unit and thus the cost of replacement or repair will be higher will be higher if it is a single system. 4. Based on the energy efficiency website, using this combination of single split and system two seems to more energy & cost efficient. Cost and energy efficiency is a big concern for me so another reason why I chose this. Phew! these are the reasons for my selection / choice.

Hi Project H, Thanx for the compliment. Much appreciated. I've cleared my inbox so you can email me. =) Not popular lar, Its me emailing so many people asking questions.

hmm..... let me ask you'll. Isn't running trunking on top/near celing more ugly and obvious than running below? Below at least you can hide the trunking by the bed, night stand etc... On top not possible to hide unless you box it up and if you have low ceiling, boxing up will make your ceiling even lower. I was thinking of running my trunking below so that when the bed comes it will hide the trunking . Do you see any issues with that? My trunking would also be running through my wardrobe but only at the side right at end , so I am guessing I will lose about 4 inches of my wardrobe space below, which should be fine as that part is for hanging clothes and no drawers there. Anyone sees a problem with it? Appreciate any comments / feedback help. thanx!!
