  11. for the case study i was referring to, it was a 100% thing no ifs or buts, either remove or die because it was a specific gene mutation that is directly related to this particular form of cancer i believe there is no concrete evidence to show BRCA1 is the cancer causing gene it's just that more breast cancer patients also has mutation in the BRCA1 my point here is that clever a.k.a. intelligence (to me) is born giving them a good education and learning skills doesn't make them more so it just make them more knowledgeable and academically inclined similarly to good complexion, healthy diet and lots of sleep only helps if the child's gene is with good complexion things we can do is to help with what is already there just like we can zhng a nissan all we want, but it will never outrun a porsche
  12. it's not the fridge that spoils things around it's things around that spoils the fridge it might still work but will require more energy to keep things cold i like big fridge coz can put a lot a lot of drinks
  13. white leather / PVC is difficult to maintain think you got to give it a wipe down every week (water for PVC, leather wipes for leather) i'm known for my laziness, that's why i got no white furniture my kitchen cabinets are white glossy but a wipe down with thinner should be enough :notti:
  14. erm actually hor, cancer genes don't get triggered by environmental factors the latest trend now is to go for cancer-gene testing and removing the organ it's pretty drastic but if it saves one's life, why not? read about this on a medical journal about this family who has a gene for acute stomach cancer the only way to arrest the problem is to remove the stomach once the cancer start, there is no way to save the patient the grandmother was the one carrying the gene out of the 20 plus cousins, more than ten got the gene the interviewee didn't go for the surgery at first until 4 of his cousins died of the same cancer, even though they had quarterly checkups that's how fast that particular cancer spreads food and habits can help to a certain extent but ultimately it boils down to genes...
  15. wah that's a really good deal and the size is really good envious leh
  16. sorry if i offend anyone here, think it all just boils down to genes if you have good genes, your baby will be clever, with good complexion more and more scientific researches are showing that everything is linked to genes even cancer risks and allergies
  17. they are two different persons bah think they have their own individual t-blog too think you can ask your ID to keep it, then put it up in garage sales see who give you offer loh then hor, your ID trying to smoke you leh why charge to throw away? if he don't throw you give to garang guni man they will be very happy loh
  18. i guess i just like the fridge to be standalone coz it gives flexibility to change the size of the fridge both version 1 and 2 limits the size of the fridge i.e. if you get a big fridge down, it'll look funny when you downsize. but if you get a small fridge, then you will have no room for a bigger fridge next time
  19. for the duck wings, can try the 'outram park' roasted meats stall in chinatown food market it's near to the side next to new bridge rd centre (the one with ck and da you) the stall is two stalls combined, pretty hard to miss but must go early coz sold out very fast :dribble:
  20. eh, your version 3 hor, the cabinet next to the fridge how to access? why not consider just build one straight row of cabinets then put the fridge next to the kitchen entrance? btw got pix of your new place or not? me love pix :dribble:
  21. i love your fridge! 570l is gross or nett capacity? have always loved big fridges but my kitchen is freaking small
  22. my experience on wisdom tooth extraction - zero pain, except when they inject the local anesthetic. go in > sit down> inject > pull out > stand up > go eat chicken rice surgery - 2/10. achy after anesthetic wears off go in > lie down > inject > cut cut cut cut cut > wake up > start salivating > nurse explain what can do cannot do > go home > eat porridge for two days :~
  23. hi there, was trying to finish reading your blog but gave up after many pages ;p for your kitchen, i suggest that the fridge be next to the bin instead nearer to the door, easier to just grab drink and out again also, ideally it'll be to have fridge > sink > stove so that you take out food from fridge, prepare in sink and cook in stove then hor then hor, you got five of you but table only sit four?
  24. extraction? means no cutting right? my upper wisdom tooth extraction pain factor is 1/10 cause got local anesthetic mah after that only problems are numbness, salivation and inability to eat for a few hours
