  4. hahaha, cause hdb say cats are 'nomadic in nature' and a whole load of other rubbish loh then as animal lovers, we can't take the risk to say why dogs can cat cannot? coz if hdb go and ban dogs also then liao liao anyway hdb also knows about the unhappiness so they won't do anything unless someone specifically complain about cats in your particular units and not just cats in unit, but must be smell / poo everywhere / noisy then they'll take action for this i salute them
  5. wah you take so much supplements ah seriously good? me lazy to take all these, always buy buy buy but just leave it around then expired liao throw away so sayang so now dun buy liao it's the gingko good for memory but forget to take theory

  10. think what zirk is trying to say is that the cable pts will not be shown on the flr plan if your flat is standard, that means no flr tiles then you can plan anyway and rewire the existing point to your preferred location but if premium means flr tiles laid liao, then better wait for keys then plan loh
  11. initially did toy with this idea, but with stiles instead of corian stiles is a brand of quartz surface, which should withstand heat much better, but the price also but in the end went for composite sink coz of the cost and me obsession with concrete sink support think you have to do the resizing at the website that hosts the image at photobucket, click on the photo then click on the resize option i use the messageboard one coz i like photo big big but not as big as your lah
  12. hahaha, let me shamelessly direct you to my t-blog chat the second link in my signature pg 6 you can see my babies pg 7 there's a link to see scoria76's darlings think you can see lin_staplers darlings here and yes i totally agree that i'm very lucky to have both am looking around for such switches, just dun know which brand to go for clipsal? legrand? jung? MK? any idea where i can find all these under one roof???
  13. hi TS, just wanted to add that you can consider getting solid wood bookshelves from wihardja or bedz & co they have reasonably priced items if you dun mind the finishing if you are looking at having a bookshelf full of books, dun think ikea bookshelf series can take it... study table still okay lah, you are not going to put very heavy things right?
  14. hi can check if your sink is moulded from the surface material? looks really seamless and beautiful a kitchen i would be proud to own
  15. it's a cardmember sale thingy if you buy normal price it's really saved over $200 when i got my AK during the last sale for more pix, check out my reno blog it's the other link at my signature there's about two or three entries just about the AK (shameless hor, keep promoting my t-blog and reno blog)
  16. for me it's more of a convenient thingy coz my parents are not so young the hdb switches may prove to be a 'challenge' to them see, i have to cat- & elderly-proof my home
  17. think patrick is busy doing up someone's place bah i'd rather have a person who can't meet me bcoz he is working on existing project than someone who can meet me anytime coz after signing he dun care think dun have to meet ah keong together one, you can meet ah keong separately i believe the base material for the cabinets are the same i.e. solid ply the only difference is the laminate etc personally i am going to meet him again this sat feel very satisfied with him coz i change the quotation at least 5 times but he still obligingly provided it everytime i met up with ah keong separately and discussed what i wanted for the kitchen though, without patrick...
  18. no problem, just fire away if you have any other queries e.g. which vet to go to, what food we feed our babies etc btw, how's the legrand switches? looking at changing my switches now
  19. robinsons centrepoint carries the whole range taka sells some accessories best to wait for the 20% + 10% sale then buy anyway, think better get back to the topic if you have any other questions, head over to my t-blog chat link in my signature
  20. okay okay will wait for the address thinking will go to urban space since the SA jimmy comes so highly recommended think i will go and search for the few threads on spray painting maybe there are some contacts there...
  21. as to whether having a cat in hdb is a problem it'll have to depend on your neighbours i guess i'm very lucky coz my current immediate neighbours all love my cats and we all have a give-and-take attitudes towards each other coz we have lived 'together' for twenty over years but if you suay suay have a neighbour like a friend of mine who is basically looking at her every move if she carries a pet carrier home, the neighbour will call TC and HDB immediately you can almost be sure that they'll be there the next day to 'advise' my friend as for cat-proofing a home, there are two perspective to look at one is to protect your belongings from the cats and the other to protect the cats from any harm for me, its protecting my cats my parents will kill me if i allow anything to happen to them for this new place, my dad specifically 'instructed' that even if nothing is done, the grilles must be up things i do to cat-proof my home 1. grilles with 2.5" or less gap for the whole unit 2. ample space for them to play around 3. no sharp edges that they may hurt themselves 4. provide perching grounds by having shelves, empty cabinet tops etc 5. only have plants that are edible for cats... when i think of more i will post it here in fact, there is no licence for cats regardless where you stay but i micro-chipped my babies in case they got lost if kenna caught by AVA and cannot find owner, they will kill the cat sorry if i'm being naggy here but if you have cats, please dun assume that cats can jump from height and not be injured at all. some cats are not that agile and may injure themselves if falling from a height more than 1m esp if they are not prepared
  22. hi sumobear, can your friend provide more details on where the Bangkok's market is? me thinking of going there in sep can buy some back
  23. AK stands for Active Kitchen i love it for the streamlined look and ease of retrieval but they are not making them anymore so can only buy those that are still in stock good thing it's made of 18/10 s/s so can last a long long time but the price also quite beautiful leh check it out here oops here i go again turning this into a chat threat
  24. are you from hdb? yes i do keep cats in my hdb flat as it is, hdb's stand is rather relaxed on this as long as no one complains, they are unlikely to take any actions
  25. hi, anyone has done something like this or know of anyone who did it? i'm getting roller blinds for the bedroom but those available in the market quite plain leh thinking of using my own pix, print it onto canvas or something and make into roller blinds can be done?
