  1. actually wm in the toilet not practical firstly, the socket is illegal so if suay suay hdb come and check you got to remove secondly it's a wet area i.e. moisture level very high, your wm will spoil very fast
  2. thanks, will post more photos when i take them this evening it's okay lah, dun have any important documents to keep there also i think there'll be more than enough space bah ALL my clothes can fit into three luggages - one 29", one 19" and one cabin bag guess i dun have much clothes thank you thank you, it's a really big decision coz quite a lot of pple comment it will turn yellow in the future but guess i'll live with a white kitchen for five years, then get a yellow kitchen after five years at no extra cost
  3. it's a mechanism that ensures that the drawers dun slam shut, so nobody's finger will be caught a bit expensive loh, $60 per drawer how about sharing pix of your kitchen cabinets as well?
  4. hmm what is this??? oh it's the bottom of my wardrobe look again, there's a 'secret' compartment in the middle the gap due to the air-con trunking accessories time my AK installed with one accessory MBR bath, all the bars in place the mirror, $9.90 from ikea despite the masking tape marking, the worker still installed my L bar wrongly common bathroom the many bars that will greet you upon entry i know it's a weird place for the toilet paper holder, but nowhere else liao mirror galore, got the ikea $9.90 mirror but couldn't bear to throw the mirrored cabinet at my current home so shift it over and installed it as well got new hinges though coz the old ones really rusted my favourite room of the flat, using blum runners and hinges very painful but at least got peace of mind waiting for the countertop the tall unit which really took up a lot of space, but will give me ample storage space the space for all the bottled sauces and cooking oil the carpentry works for BR2 workers hard at work, trying to figure out how to install the wardrobe the base the corner unit the doors the laminate, dark fineline but can't really see from the pix my wardrobe, the fast to be complete the inside close up of the 'secret' compartment, it sits under my drawers now you see it now you don't the pants hanger and drawer with tofu squares on top

  6. harlow everybody, was busy checking out the carpentry works so no updates the carpentry works started on tuesday and here are some pix to share the sight that greeted me when i reached my unit in the kitchen, the bottom cabinets are almost done the lonely bottom waiting for it's the other half in the living, the top half awaits the union thanks will keep my fingers crossed for you hehehe, coz he ran out of idea what to buy me liao so brought me go appliance-shopping, then no need headache what to buy

  8. hehehe find that those who try to ketok you workmanship not so good one
  9. wah think i save the 4D money can buy more with it it's called a clench inhibitor initially wanted to do a night-guard - it's a piece of plastic to put on my molars so that it will take the wear-and-tear instead of my teeth but it doesn't help with the grinding or clenching somedays i grind so hard that i couldn't open my mouth if do night-guard only $80, but the clench inhibitor will help with the jaw ache and misalignment so it'll be better overall this one cost $350 but worth it if it really helps with my bruxism the remaining $340 is dentures for my dad yah hor, quite forgotten about that see if i got go central mall or not, if going then ask :dribble:
  10. as i sit down and look through all the threads for today, i realised i spent a lot of money today already bust budget still go around spending money went down to my nest to tell the worker where to install all my accessories then went to the dentist with my dad coz he needed dentures and i needed something for my bruxism the dentist recommend a clench inhibitor which is suppose to not just prevent wearing down of my teeth, but also reduce the grinding which is affecting my sleep quality and jaw strength big time total damage - $690 after that, went down to citygas to look at gas stove coz ah keong told me that he need the stove tomorrow to do the cut-out for the granite countertop why didn't he tell me earlier? had wanted to shift the one in my current home over but no time bo bian but to buy a new one the La Germania promoter too pushy, didn't like her so didn't want to listen to her recommendations bought a turbo stove which is almost the same as our current one except the positioning of the burner - big fire on right instead of left damage - $364 heng the fridge doesn't come out from my own pocket but like that also $1k gone liao, somemore it's not budgeted for guess i'll have to really tighten my belts for months to come
  11. maybe you'd want to write down a list of things that must be done and ask for quotes based on it 1. floor area to cover - some contractors include wastage, some dun but ask you for more money at a later stage 2. polishing of flooring upon completion (not sure if it's applicable to granite tiles) it's be easier for you to compare apple to apple coz some contractors / IDs like to give you oranges so that you can't compare
  12. now me going to start to chiong SK liao last time young time chiong AMK so quite familiar also just now went to HN at central and bought a fridge spent more money again, though not my money coz this is a BD gift from bf it's a toshiba GR-MG46SD-GB paid $829, c/w 5yr extended warranty and free delivery dun know cheap or not but really tempted and since it's a display set i.e. last piece so just grab only finally got a fridge that is of an acceptable size to me too used to my old ariston fridge that the sharp one we currently use feels so small come to think of it, my ariston fridge also red colour leh maybe i subconciously know red is good for me
  13. guess the biggest draw for me is the food available here in chinatown need to adjust big time when shifted to SK but no choice coz got no money to buy bigger flat in chinatown the price of an EA in SK is around the price of a 3-rm flat here
  14. how big is your unit? from there you can have a good gauge of how much the tiles will cost you what are you trying to find about granite?
  15. nice choice of laminates, really makes the place look so inviting so happy to see things are moving along so well
  16. honestly find HK a bit over priced liao only bought my sink from them coz they are the authorised dealers look out for APS coz most s/s accessories are of this brand kelantan lane has a shop that sells these items quite reasonably priced block 30 if i'm not wrong, it faces the flea market usually 18/10 made in germany are of a slightly better quality they will weigh slightly more than those made in china, even if it's the same brand just learnt this today at the tangs sale
  17. hehehe, me did the same thing as you the living area i.e. sofa + tv will occupy half of it, the other half will be an activity area e.g. mahjong table or for me to do some DIY projects
  18. ooooh lah lah, your shoe cabinet looks good is that a bicyble i see behind? so envious that you've got a changing room, me only have space for a 6ft wardrobe
  19. hi tingshen, mind if i ride on your thread? looking for a doorbell that goes 'meow' when someone's at the door so far saw in home-fix and those hardware shop along jln besar all quite standard leh either the different 'ding-dongs' or melodic ones which type are you looking for?
  20. argh too late for me eubig on my wall
  21. actually it's not a once or twice thing some animals just can't excrete it normally the anal gland secretes enzyme to mark their poo poo, in turn marking their territory so if like that most probably you will have to learn how to express it for him when you notice him scooting aka rubbing his butt on the floor while moving forward, it's time to do the expresssion
  22. it's actually part of chinatown point !! aiyo me chinatown kid leh, if i can't tell from the description got to :yamseng: also find their stuff quite interesting but bro MaCe say their pricing cut throat leh dun think the food matters my girl and local boy eats exactly the same thing my girl is half the size of my boy think character very important - must be greedy and lazy greedy so will eat more, lazy so will not expand much energy
  23. hehehe, guess for pple like me who are used to the kind of convenience it offers imagine two MRT lines, 20 bus services and three express bus servies go where and find??? only thing i dun like is all those pple flocking here on sat and sun and imagine not daring to go out during pre-CNY period coz come back got no parking lot those pple knowing that park red lot sure kenna summon still park so season tix holders can't go home
  24. the one i went to is a corner shop at block 29 i think ran by two women just go to kelantan lane and walk around, sometimes they quote based on how much they like your face
