it's opposite the sengkang NPC/clinic/community centre maybe ranval can tell you exactly where coz it's near to her place
-
eh not very sure leh common problems will be leakage or grime in the pipes? think got one thread about the different types of piping but can't remember where liao
-
but you got to factor in the thickness coz homo usually not very thick and if cut into half maybe not so nice edge? not too sure if you can 'bullnose' a homo tile maybe you want to check out quartz countertops which i did consider brands like stiles are available in singapore it's like solid surface except it's pretty scratch and heat resistant

-
the plumber is my contractor's you might want to check out MaCe's t-blog, think he recommended a plumber called ah seng there
-
i took copper leh coz copper can paint mah and less chance of leakage (not 100% confident of the workmanship ) the gas heater is an instant heater which can pipe hot water to all taps in the unit but i only pipe to bathroom showers and kitchen mixer
-
aiyo that sound bad, esp with the abuser lurking around me got alumesh all around my place to ensure my cats have no chance of escaping :furious:
-
my contractor charged me $580 to change all existing pipes to copper does not include hot water points
-
but my contractor quote me the same price for copper and stainless steel he said the price of copper had been going up up up recently
-
yes i changed my piping to copper ones not very confident of hdb's pipes

Only Can Buy Resale...advise Pls
applefreak replied to lemontea78's topic in HDB New/Resale Flats, Executive Condominiums
what to do? they always say the government policy is 'pro-family' :furious: -
hehehe, actually i go for secondhand stuff to try and follow the movement that started in NY they basically do not buy anything new coz it consumes new resource, it's a environmental-friendly thing but some things, like my bookcase, cannot resist leh :furious: so far clothes hanger, those plastic ones, cheapest is 8pcs for $1.65 at CK chinatown also and plastic ashtray at $2.85

hi there, i level up my balcony coz my mum worried that she'll trip and fall it really depends on what you like 1. a long living room 2. a semi-outdoor area where your guest / you can smoke 3. a separate space where you can have plants or keep certain items didn't like the balcony at compassvale green anyway to me, only when the three sides are empty then can call balcony if not it's just a wall without windows think we'll meet at val's block downstairs? say around 6pm? any violent objections?
-
or make use of those balance transfer if really necessary UOB is the cheapest so far, 2% on principal for six months might even be cheaper than reno loan if can repay within six months
-
saloon shampoo and perfume yes but toiletris e.g. dettol, floor cleaners etc CK is cheaper and if got time, check out the various sprees and MOs held on various forums got my applecare (laptop warranty) at 20% off retail price and a beanbag for $43 go for second-hand things esp if you are not quite sure you'll need it e.g. i wanted to sew my own cushion covers but dun know will really do it or not so went for a second-hand small princess sewing machine at $30 only
-
but hor, doesn't make sense to pay for that kind of size then got to cut coz counter only 600 wide still dun know yet but dun really dare to try on my flr tiles though i've tried my countertop and relatively scratch resistant
-
my number one choice of getting soft drinks = sheng shiong $10.50 for a carton of coke, sometimes can get canned drinks at $8.80 per carton (24cans) toiletries - so far find that CK chinatown price is amongst the cheapest think someone mentioned Ang Mo at AMK ave 10. think i'll check it out one day
-
if you dun mind can incorporate a 'catwalk' from kitchen to living room bypassing the shoe cabinet e.g. raised platform or something or ask your contractor to round the corners so that even bang also not so painful
-
if like this then we fix on 27 Oct evening? any violent objections from anyone? maybe the itinerary can be 1. ranval's place - just starting work 2. deathcoth's place - WIP with cute baby wor 3. all other completed unit in compassvale green - compassvale, gendon, applefreak, bluberi, jaren and singhao. those joining us but whose home is not too near are 1. Ma and Ce 2. Mr and Mrs Cantona7 3. Angelwrath (?) did i miss anyone out? and think we need to settle the dinner issue shall we have dinner at compass point banquet after visiting ranval's place then proceed to compassvale green?

think not so easy to scratch granite bah and i can accept the scratches after a few years of wear and tear
-
yes that's what i meant think if opposite the door i.e. leaning against the HHS wall will look funny right? somemore put there, on top can use as a 'dumping ground' for keys and letters and stuff :notti:

dun know leh, find that the living area really cramp loh don't even have space for a coffee table personally i prefer the layout by your FSM, looks more open and spacious dun worry so much about money, just squeeze here and there sure can make do one lah i started off with a budget of $10k, and only enough to cover then slowly it just ballooned to the final bill now $36k but then i got a few months to squeeze from everywhere and some unexpected bonuses here and there to cover also, maybe you want to consider cutting some of the stuff that can be done at a later stage e.g. BR2 and 3 can be left empty first so the most important thing to do is 1. no more taxi
