  1. then your contractor screwed up instead of making the hole for the cut-out, he made the hole for the surface size of the stove this is unacceptable !! unless your stove cut-out size is exceptionally small, the hole might be bigger to cater for future changes
  2. think the only rules are for those full-ht windows which hdb made grilles for the lower part those cannot be removed i.e. hdb will ask you to put back when you going to sell your flat other than that, grilles are not mandatory
  3. my contractor charged me $100psf, but dun think can find that kind of price now another reason why i love natural stone - can just dump hot hot pot on it. no worries
  4. the $99 one okay only, the $299 one is really plush and next time only need to change the mattress pad since the mattress itself should be able to last more than 10yrs

  8. guess the choice really depends on 1. where it will be 2. what colour you looking at for me i took granite countertop coz of the fact that it's in the kitchen things get dragged around a lot so corian definitely will become scratched in no time on the other hand, if you are particular about the colour maybe you'd want to consider quartz countertop hardiness of granite, yet non-porous like acrylic the best of both worlds, at a similar price to Corian
