  1. ya i had a pretty hard time booking this hotel too think the rooms really look good and price is reasonable will post some pix and review when i come back tried this hotel once when i went with my parents location not back if you like to go MBK but i prefer pratunam area so not that good for me and too many singaporeans liao paiseh paiseh, me anyhow hantam only will go to check out the shops btw your clock includes the hands AND the numbers right? maybe just the clock will be cheaper? definitely update here when i return, but i'm only going three weeks later
  2. hehehe, one of the most important requirement when i got my sink was it must fit a 40cm wok we cook pretty often so need to get a bigger sink my sink is $399 from hoe kee
  3. the triangle is more about workflow in the kitchen having the stove, sink and fridge in a triangle means min moving around while preparing a meal also helps reduce spills when you get things to / from the fridge i just shifted into my nest in sep 07, so using it for about 3mths? my mum likes it very much coz she don't have to get us to plug in and out each appliance personally find that it's really cool to be able to plug all six or seven appliances in and just twist to switch it on only grouse is the wires hanging from the track guess you'll have to measure very correctly so that you won't see so many dangling wires
  4. i'll be staying at baiyoke boutique, it's a hotel near to baiyoke sky price-wise they are having a promo so around $60+ per night and it's right in the middle of pratunam, which makes eating and shopping a breeze will take some pix and share when i return some pix of the lobby area of the hotel from the internet pix of the room
  5. hi, chunky_monkey ever posted a link of a shop that does customisation of roller blind it's located at jln besar but i don't have the exact address you might want to check with her as for sourcing of ID, it's never too early as it takes quite a bit of time to get quotes from several of them and if you can confirm your ID when you get your keys, you can get the ID to check for defects and liase with HDB regarding the rectifications
  6. wah you buy so many things all together can't wait for pix leh
  7. sigh, now i know why got pple stand on the right side of the escalator
  8. no problem, me going BKK end of this month will check out the shop and post about it

  13. was thinking of suggestion a buffet hutch at the storeroom area coz she wants country-style think it'll look really very nice
  14. erm, how much is your new place? take it as a $110k new flat from hdb, you got to pay at least $11k downpayment leh that's not counting the stamp fees and misc fees and DPS still can invest $5k??? use this to check how much you need to pay on first appt http://services2.hdb.gov.sg/webapp/BP13FINPLAN1/BP13J020 then decide if you want to take out some of your cpf
  15. on lah, i'll see how much it cost in BKK first think if we can find 4 or more pax to ship, the clock will cost 20 pounds which is about S$60
  16. totally agree. go and compare the tvs, buy the one that your eyes feel most comfortable with at the cheapest price. no point paying a premium of a few hundred for the specs that you can tell anyway
  17. marble flooring very country look also mah, no? just use lots of woodgrained furniture and you've got it. the fridge is next to the windows coz of the triangle rule if got sun then just turn around - shift sink towards windows, stove diagonally opposite and fridge to inner wall no necessary to store things in storeroom mah, can also build a cabinet in the study to store all the barang barangs these are my personal views lah, coz only you know what you need best just that i really love your floor plan and that's what i'll do if i'm gonna stay there
  18. it's 15pounds excluding shipping the site is http://www.clockco.co.uk/karlsson-clocks-m...8ace59053adf89f they charge 10pounds per clock, and max 20pounds per order so if we can get more pple to get the item, we'll pay less shipping
  19. hahaha, gonna rant my other pet peeve escalators!!! why do pple stand on the right side of the escalator? is it very difficult to stand on the left side??? it's especially irritating when you see the train arrive, and left while you are stuck behind this person who is in turn stucl behind some inconsiderate idiot some lagi best, when i said excuse me to them they just turn their head, look at me and turn back to face the front without moving a single step :fire: why why why
  20. i'm only using concrete support for sink, not stove normal cabinet is good enough for the rest of the kitchen imho coz not much moisture present heard from ah kiat they got it from a Mr P shop on 4th level Siam Discovery we are planning to order it online, you want to combine shipping?
  21. hehehe, that's when everyone is using it at home liao then hdb implement wor so most prob this energy-saver thing (if it really works) will be introduced after 90% of the households have it fitted. as for the solar panels, think it'll be at least 10yrs before we see it anywhere
  22. starhub promo not worth got to pay $100+ for the set-top box AND subscribe to the HD channels at $16+ every month me using HD-ready plasma, coz i think by the time HD becomes the norm OLED is the norm too might as well upgrade to HD OLED
  23. tangs, robinsons where you can get pretty good discounts during sale and special rebate
  24. hahaha you'll be SOOOOO surprised when you realise that our government is not doing much about it no plans for solar panels for hdb blocks to light up common corridors nor design hdb blocks to maximise use of natural light... :)
