thing about starting renovation before rectification works done is that you MUST find ALL the defects as long as you report the defects BEFORE your own renovation works, HDB will rectify for you but any defects found during your own renovation works will have to be done by your own contractor

actually think it's bad for your hubby this year but next year shouldn't be a real issue although your zodiac 'fan tai sui', not necessary means bad for you it also depends on your bazi wor anyway this year already a quarter gone, so just dilly dally a bit for the next 9mths maybe rent 2 rms out first to earn a little more renovation funds then next year ask your hubby to take care of the renovation (good right )

i think it's due to the fact that there are several groups of contractors typical situation will be monday - TO call contractor tuesday - contractor collect key from TO wednesday - contractor go down to unit thursday - continue or hand key back to TO friday - TO decide to call next contractor on monday that's why it'll take one week to just rectify one defect furthermore, it'll depend on the contractor if not enough manpower, might delay one more week esp when there's a lot of units getting keys in that cluster and a lot of defects

for OPC it's always the usage pattern that matters if you are only using on weekends and evenings, no point getting a higher end car anyway right? personally find that it's good for you to get a OPC coz your hubby not around often so get a car makes it easier for you esp when you getting groceries or going out with your family
