applefreak replied to spinball's topic in Reno t-Blog Chat

actually cooking at home seems expensive coz we'll go for the better ingredients if we were to specify such ingredients for dining out, thinjk it'll still be more expensive than cooking at home in the long run, it'll be cheaper and healthier to cook at home to eat esp after you master the skill of preparing a meal in under 30 min

yippee, the 'green' family is getting bigger and bigger

Is A Basin Very Heavy? I Need To Carry Home Myself...
applefreak replied to gingerbelle's topic in RENOVATION WORKS
it really depends on the size, design and shape of the basin you should be able to carry those smaller, simpler ones but those big ones, esp those with pedestal would be quite difficult to carry -

there are pros and cons for vinyl flooring it's not waterproof as in the seams, don't think you can find a piece big enough to cover the entire living room floor so when you suay suay spill water near the seams, the water will seep under the sheets and it's a hassle to clean it's also not as hardy as tiles so quite easy to tear when you drag furniture around not forgetting cigarette burns if someone smokes and drops the butt used to have vinyl sheets at my old old place it's not easy to maintain and extremely slippery when wet as for vinyl tiles, the price might be quite close to laying ceramic / homo tiles

my frame is higher coz i went for one with very thick bedhead do try out the frame with mattress and ensure that you won't 'plonk down' the bed coz it'll be difficult for you to get up or sit down when you are preggy in FS, air is supposed to be able to circulate around the mattress supposed to be good for health as there'll not be stagnant air hehehe i've got one too but i got a 2nd hand one, think the person only used for a month paid $60 for it very good for us coz just push the lever to get the rice no need to open cover, scope rice then cover back

yes the everyday card is the ONLY card you can credit your utilities bill to for me, i usually charge my first $300 spending to my uob one card then others to my other cards dividend card is not for me coz the rebates for bills are not good it's only good for petrol or restaurant dining for shopping at supermarkets (excl carrefour), i use citibank SMRT coz got 5% rebate S&CC and starhub bill and installment i use uob one card (3.33% rebate) the rest is dependent on the promotion at the point of time credit card is a double-edged sword if you pay the whole bill amt by due date, it's a good tool but if you have a habit of rolling the balance, then you are better off using cash i only charge a purchase to my card if i have the cash in my account it's not good to rely on my next month's pay to pay off this month's expenses
