think it's quite difficult to have 'general' point of view FS is affected by many factors 1. what you see outside your window 2. what you see outside your main door 3. what is the good facing for the occupants e.g. my best facing might be west but it could mean disaster for you guess the only general things are 1. door should not face another door 2. stove and sink should not be side by side without gap 3. stove should not face window 4. main door should not face window 5. nothing reflective should face the bed hope the above helps

unless you are buying from yourself hard to find another person who likes everything you like think i'm quite lucky coz no one commented on my tiles only comment i've gotten is 'wah so big piece' think you should start looking for the basic stuff 1. toilet accessories 2. hob (some say & hood but i didn't get one so ) 3. kitchen sink and tap 4. WCs and basins (if you are changing them) 5. lights 6. anything else that needs to be secured onto the walls by your ID electrical appliances can really wait coz the price goes only one way

not necessarily cheaper. just that if you buy the tiles yourself you'll get the 20% but usually when contractors / ID quote for flooring work they already take the 20% into consideration most prob if you buy your own tiles then get contractor to lay will come up to around the same price

my bathroom is original, didn't want to touch it coz no budget after seeing all the beautiful bathrooms very tempted to change but my one attempt to get a integrated basin was stopped short coz stiles don't do integrated basin for silestone and there is no way i can get such a big window for my bathroom

my dish rack also beside my sink, even though i'm facing the wall while using the sink easier to change when needs change

your MBR bathroom shower panel looks very cool after seeing the lights you got from JB, really tempting to make a trip in there liao

i love the glass panel below the windows at BR2 allows more light into the room yet no worries about privacy :good: wish i have that in my MBR
