actually for tempered glass, as long as there are no sharp objects hitting on it there shouldn't be any problem just take note that nothing sharp should ever hit the surface once something sharp e.g. scissors, knives, screwdrivers hit the surface, the integrity of the glass is compromised any impact might coz the glass to break that might have been the case of the shattering shower screens in punggol (i think) the glasses were already compromised during transportation
-
actually tempered glass shower screens do break remember the series of cases a few years back involving quite a number of punggol flats? think within one month at least 3 cases where the tempered glass door just break thankfully no one was injured
-
actually it's not that expensive lah and it's supposed to be anti-bacterial, coz of the 'microban' that's 'infused' into the board material by right, bacteria will be repelled from the board, making food preparation more hygenic and it's more hardy so won't of knife marks so easily

hi babytan, the textured tile as backsplash might give you a lot of cleaning headaches next time leh the oil and dirt will get trapped in the lines, so you gotta clean the tile one line by one line :bangwall:

if you skip the L-box, that'll shave quite a big chunk off your reno budget no need to buy so many lights and the cost of the L-box $20k can be done, esp if you are not going for much carpentry work and no hacking / retiling

personally, find that securing the bookcase to the wall is a necessity coz my sis just got one with glass doors when the bookcase is empty, just opening the doors will coz the whole thing to collapse towards you :jawdrop: so can only put A LOT of heavy things at the bottom and nothing much on top
