How Much Are You Willing To Pay For Kitchen Sink
applefreak replied to applefreak's topic in RENOVATION WORKS
wow your 'want' sink is more expensive than mine and i thought my dream sink is expensive enough it's also blanco but it's the silgranite range - modus m60 very very tempting but thinking if $2k is too much to pay for a sink... it's 1.2m x .6m -
hi all, am torn between the affordable sink and the dream sink how much are you willing to pay for a kitchen sink? maybe the sink and accessories that comes with it, but not those add-ons
-
actually you can save more by applying for a renovation loan and using the money to buy the appliances coz the big stores are typically charging at least 10% more or even better, make use of those interest-free funds transfer and pay the 5% admin fee you'll still save more by buying from those neighbourhood shops

quite difficult to see from your flr plan which are structural walls and which are not if you want to, hacking away the wall of the store to extend the living is a good idea. a lot depends on your lifestyle e.g. how many person staying there, cook often or not, entertain often or not, need home-office or not etc -
LinDa, i think the blame should lie firmly with the salesgirl she is the one who is most familiar with the product and yet said nothing when she is aware of your plans to separate the sofa how are you supposed to know that this particular model cannot separate??? maybe you should consider writing to OM and demand a full-refund for a product that does not meet your needs at all despite having made your needs known to the salesperson who is a representative of the company...

actually i'll strongly recommend hecom (seahorse) they have everything you mentioned, just not many choices and the prices are all very reasonable -
then find a weekday, load all your books onto the trolley and drag it down two floors bah me thinking of using this method the only short-coming is the amount of noise generated
-
3 storeys luckily we only have to carry down one level but that is already headache enough
-
maybe you want to borrow a trolley that's what we are going to do when moving my dad's books shudder at the thought coz he got thousands of books last count 10 yeas ago was close to 2k, now dun know liao
-
maybe that's why you are having problems with the solid surface top just complain to your ID lah, i'm sure he will change for you think monday will get my bf to call the tile contractor to ask him fast fast settle the plastering of the door frame area after that can do the rest of the rectifications liao now heart itchy itchy thinking about my dream sink again you think GSS hoe kee will reduce the price or not? btw are you going to engage a mover? if yes then get them to provide boxes if not then bo bian got to go ask around for boxes
-
hahaha replied to your question but realised you have been to Linda's t-blog robinson got sale but dunno should go down or not wait heart itchy itchy buy more things
-
think you should get your ID to buy the sofa from you at the full price why sell it at a discount when it's your ID's fault why IDs charge so much more than contractors is also as a form of insurance if anything goes wrong, they will take care of it and i'm sure he can find someone else whose home will suit the sofa to a T
-
to be a little philosophical, things happen for a reason maybe black isn't really good for you and hubby so this happend then you will change to another colour actually when i was reading up on solid surface countertops this wasn't highlighted as a problem leh if solid surface top behaves like this, how to make good countertops? maybe it's the manufacturing defect that's causing this think you can still move in end jun or early jul now only may, got loads of time to rectify the problem dun stress to much, if not on AD won't be pretty liao
-
think after the polishing you should try and put something on top overnight if the whittish spots appear again get your ID to change the whole top it's unacceptable loh
-
got black-out ones. those that blocks light completely depends on the material you choose my contractor advised me to get black-out ones coz my parents room faces the west, evening sun very hot so only can use the black-out ones
-
agree with compassvale that solid surface tops are not supposed to behave like this maybe you want to ask you ID what brand was used and check the internet to see if it's a particular problem associated with this brand in between the top and bottom cabinet can hang mah that's where i plan to hang the system also i also draw out the layout of the system liao so so so adamant on getting it but it's expensive so waiting for a big sale went down to my new place (again) saw the workers doing the final tiling works for the skirting so happy now just need to get the contractor do the plastering for the door frame areas can go onto the final stages of rectification after that my renovation can start yippee
-
oh dear, even if can polish back to original colour does that mean you cannot put anything on the countertop in the future? me now in two minds about the kitchen countertop also granite of coz looks good but the part about staining is worrying me quartz doesn't look as good and is more expensive but sound like invincible leh how how how? think i must stop reading your blog liao if not my list will just get even longer
-
me now waiting for WMF sale coz eyeing the rack system for the kitchen super nice but very expensive. if buy everything i want will cost over $1k for it it's basically a flat piece of s/s with slots for various things like hooks, WMF chopping board, WMF colander etc check out robinsons centrepoint coz it seems only they have it on display wah, you still got money to buy clothes and shoes i dun dare to go orchard coz scared will spend money must save money to buy things for the flat want to enquire but dun know who leh okay lah, then you can potter around your new place a while longer before going to the bridal shop think you can spend the whole day at your new place touching here and there bah now i go to my new place also cannot bear to leave even though there is nothing
-
i think you should change the timing back to 5pm you late nevermind coz you customer mah dun think the singtel guy will be late they are quite punctual, just that may not solve your problem (if it's a service call)
-
saw your blog and my list just got longer the beary-hip rugs are soooo tempting and the wink stickers are maybe i should do what clockwork did for her walls cut out paper stencils and paint myself to save costs
-
eyes bad bad see everything also want now thinking of getting panel curtains to cover up the HHS and extra point in the living for a ceiling fan and task light for my kitchen and plasma tv for living... the list just won't end i now refuse to deal with the tile contractor let my bf deal coz he seem to get an immediate response from him while i just kenna bullied bluberi, how's your new place? will check out your blog for the latest update my blog link cannot work and i can't delete to re-do...

i got grilles mah that's why windows are only to prevent the rain from splashing in...
-
hehehe, my PCV pipes at home not mouldy leh water from tap taste okay
-
no prob, guess i'll have to do the windows afterall no point saving that $300-$400 but washing machine spoil and still have to pay that money for the windows in the end thanks for your help
-
sorry can check if it will splash beyond the two pipes or not coz my wm and dryer will be under the louvre windows before the pipes (from kitchen). if it will not splash so far in then i'll skip the windows if not then no choice loh i do understand that different floors might have different scenario just wanted to have a rough idea thanks a lot
