actually i find franke sinks quite reasonable. like the acquario, without accessories is the same price as my blanco metra9 (i've got friend's friend who can get discount ) some sinks got package get sink and mixer think around $400+ only, not expensive lah yesterday night was simply drooling over the catalogue

top mount is when a hole is cut in the counter surface and the sink is just plonked into it, the way kitchen hobs are placed. undermount means the sink is placed on the support then the countertop comes onto it so you won't be seeing the sides of the sink. it really depends on your needs and what sink you want if you are getting a sink with drainer, then top mount will be good enough loh i'm getting one without so will undermount my sink. most sinks can be top or under mounted except certain sinks best to check will the salesperson

think the first few post by him i've read he did mention his wife so always knew he's a guy believe active kitchen is made in germany coz of the precision works required for such items. didn't know until i got the brochure the the active kitchen series is actually developed by WMF in collaboration with Franke. so the sinks in the brochue are Franke sinks

ummm, the groove lines are not really thin thin about the width of my pinkie it's quite visible and a lot of them running all over my painter charge very cheap so think the patching works is charged separately so at least i have the option of patching or not patching

actually it was okay coz only doing kitchen, grilles and mics things like lights lights was cheap coz i went for the normal normal round plastic-cover ones - all lights only cost me less than $400. first thing to bust the budget was the floor tiles coz didn't know can 'upgrade'. that was $3k liao. then the bookcase followed. initially though $1k can settle, . then eyes bad backside itchy brought my dad go see rosewood ones. then think new home must get new things so got a rosewood mahjong table also, new wardrobe for my mum - there goes another $4.7k then thinking since bust liao might as well go for granite countertop, then this and that... so sigh... have been tightening my belts these few months to save the money. heng my bf sponsor some, my parents sponsor some, my sis and her bf sponsor some. so in the end i come up $15k nia.

hahaha, my budget of 10k for basic reno and furnitures have been busted long long time ago. latest it stands at around $27k actually this is only hdb doing rectification works so it's either we give the main gate/door keys to them or get a padlock and just use it heng we got lots of spare padlocks at home (coz i always lose my keys when young)

ummm how about the shop at great world city that sells kitchen ware? they might carry it there...

wah you all say like that all the more i'm tempted to get it liao leh maybe will get it when robinson is having another 20%+20% sale in the near future. just get the railing and a few basic items first the rest can get before the end of the year. if really need be then ship over loh maybe i should start a Active Kitchen thread, then can do MO for it my TO called just now to say that the hdb tile contractor found the key liao it was with one of his workers. wonder why is he keeping my key??? thankfully it's just a spare padlock which is reserved for hdb rectifications think will use another padlock when i start my own renovations

did you highlight this to the delivery man? if you have already accepted delivery of the item the situation becomes a little tricky, esp you mentioned that the company is not reliable. you can try but they might turn around and say that the damage is caused by you... as for the mattress, did you try the bed shop at robinsons? maybe they do customise mattress of that size welcome back to singapore
