i don't have ID or contractor recommendation but i think you can carve out the foyer area by laying hardwood flooring or slates then have some plants and wooden benches just like the way you enter those resort villa check out zc31's t-blog for pictures of a villa he went to recently your place is big enough to do something like that
-

even chopping board also recommended to use separate ones unless you have the habit of boiling it after every use

basically it's to say use one knife for food you going to cook e.g. meat, vegetable another one for food eaten raw e.g. veg for salad, fruits etc coz the bacteria on the food will stay on the knives unless you boil it after every use
-
it's not so much the brand, but the material just remember to go for stainless steel items don't take chrome or plated coz it'll rust over time ikea has got the grundtal series, and some shops along jln besar sells stainless steel stuff too another option is aluminum, don't rust too

applefreak replied to HSH21's topic in Moving House: Packing, Storing, Moving To Your New House
for air-con consumption, one of the way to reduce it will be to aircon-proof your room check the gap below your room door if it's pretty big get those rubber slips to prevent the cold air from escaping if your room is aircon-proofed, switching on the air-con for 2hrs and thereafter just use the fan should be as cool -

wah the villa is :dribble: better to separate knives for meat and plant produce lah you'll never know what bacteria the meat has or maybe should say knives for food to be cooked and food for eating raw
-
