hi klipp klapp, since the lime green countertop is for the shoe cabinet top why don't you just go for postform top? much cheaper than solid surface and you can get the green you want as long as it's not near extreme moisture or heat, postform tops can last for years

hacking a wall is cheap, it's the PE endorsement fee that is expensive not to forget there'll be debris removal fee too also, hacking after renovation is completed will bring about several issues 1. the lack of floor tile at the hacked wall 2. the dust generated 3. nearby fixtures that MIGHT be damaged hacking allowed or not depends on what the PE says not the age of the property the only exception is bathroom for brand new hdb flats three years before hacking of tiles is allowed

yes the issue is the humidity of our climate don't think it's really such a big issue the fridge might only last 8 years instead of 15 in their country but will you keep a fridge for 15 years, taking the higher electricity consumption into consideration?
