  12. me doing windows for balcony and yard, and grilles for the whole unit all these my contractor lumped it under 'aluminium works' the grilles search was really like the search for the holy grail basically went around singapore and called every number in the classified ads in the end found the one and only one supplier for the design i want
  13. hahaha nowadays sellers are really aiming for the sky loh a 3rm + utility is asking $410k unless you really LOVE the area... hi weezersg, i believe you will be able to find a nice unit within your budget sooner or later it's just that you'll have to really look and look hard the process will be long and tedious but the end result satisfying
  14. hehehe no need to rush him coz i asked him to slowly slowly do the things dun want to leave my nest empty during the seventh month coz i believe 'yin' energy will gather good for me to have pple coming in and out of the unit during this time. now me left carpentry and plumbing and aluminium works only, think should be able to handover at the end of this month
  15. hi mousehunt, can share the pix of the door when they are up? thinking of getting them but dun know should pay the price or not
  16. i was looking at the newspaper advertisements to get a feel of the market a 4-rm unit at my neighbouring block (chinatown) was going for $300k 2yrs ago, now the asking price is $500k+
  17. think your hubby will chip in a bit lah, even if he is not going to pay for the whole thing if not why need to ask him for permission for the dryer, maybe you want to consider the gas dryer when the time comes coz heard it takes less time to dry the clothes me most prob going for the gas dryer when my current dryer gives up me thinking of going to ikea later after my class see whether still got anything to buy or not
  18. COV is cash-over-value, i.e. the difference between valuation and asking price now that the newspapers had reported on the two crazy sale of $670k and $720k, sellers are really thinking that they can do the same normal times i'd say $50k - $60k can really get you a very nice flat with unblocked view. but now :bangwall:
  19. guess it's rather up to the 'per'sonality of the cat and the bond with the 'slave' my babies are rather bonded to me so the threat of withdrawal-of-affection works like a charm also, they have quite a number of things to file their nails e.g. the newspaper stack, carpets around the home etc hehehe thanks for your compliments have you started works for the rest of your place? hahaha you've got everything planned out liao but you sure i'm your best shopping kaki i'll be like the new daddy, everything also say BUY BUY BUY  sigh, this is something i'll never understand if there's something they are unhappy about, why dun they come up to us and talk to us? just complain complain complain i can only say i've got very friendly neighbours at my current place can only pray my neighbours are as friendly, though they seem to be so far  can't wait to see the organza curtain !! your hubby very sayang you leh, he'd rather spend the money on your dream curtains than a dryer wow that's a lot of things you've gotten yourself there finally you found your bed side table, or is it meant for elsewhere?
  20. or those bronze colour incence basin? think that'll look good? chinese pot as in those century egg ones or the ji de zhen ones (white-blue)? will take loads of pix whenever i can and share here !! val, think she was born without, coz she dun even have a tail stump, usual for cats who lost their tail in abuse cases hahaha, when you got time go shopping let us know what you looking for maybe we can recommend places
  21. i didn't get her to do it, caught her grooming herself so took this pix do you find that peggy looks quite like my girl kitty? only diff to me is peggy has got absolutely no tail hmm, maybe providing a better place for them helps? so far them only file their nails on a stack of newspapers provided for them, none of the other furnitures kenna can't wait to see what things you'll buy for your home everytime i see bluberi's purchases my heart will be itching to go buy the same dun think it'll be easy to buy one thinking of getting those basin pple buy to burn incense paper, and paint it in gold paint can work or not? !!
  22. the beach chair! where did you get it? looks really cools and relaxing
  23. no, i try to volunteer at metta but the journey there is rather far that's my lazy excuse, but i've not been there for a long long time must must must find a weekend after my exam and go down to see my peggy girl pix of her true true hdb doesn't allow cats so can only do it on the quiet side best part is even if you stay private/landed property still cannot licence your pet cat coz there's no such thing i'm more a cat person but i love dogs too, esp dogs that dun drool so much would love to have a big dog but until i can afford a landed property ECS has a very old english look, quite royal looking  however, there are horror stories when pple licence their dog at AVA and next thing you know, hdb came to check and ask them to remove the dog coz not approved type. when asked if there were complaints, the hdb officer say they are tipped off by AVA. dun know how true hehehe, maybe that's why my mum suggested putting my girl's bed on it coz she is female cat i.e. queen  think i'll go for sumobear's suggestion, get a gold plated basin and have a tie-shu on it :notti:
  24. yes that's so true guess if the TCs finally agree to the TNR, the problem will be resolved to a certain degree and if they finally decide to penalise pet-owners who abandon their pets, the problem will be solved !!
  25. sorry you are referring to??? you can find them at page 15 and 17 !!
