Dining Table Chairs
applefreak replied to Desmond's topic in RENOVATION IDEAS: Interior Design Themes, Space Planning
depends on what wood it's made of if it's zi tan then it's considered dirt cheap loh !! !! -
of course will clean regularly but now the grout lines all black black leh thinking of spraying the mckenic on the grout lines to 'soften' the stain but worried it'd be bad for my furry babies !! think i'll do one room at a time and keep them out of the room first
-
hehehe, i've always and will always maintain that i'm 1.7m tall not any shorter, not any taller :notti: actually hor, only the bookcases, the low cabinet and the mahjong table is rosewood the side table dun know what wood, likely teak bah same goes for the wooden lights and chairs but hor, the basin holder really dun know what wood liao :dunno: paiseh paiseh, these two days busy shifting things down to my new place tomorrow what time you'll be at home?
-
hehehe no problem coming sun you cannot make it right?
-
another question mace, is the mckenic fumes harmful? coz my furry babies will be running around if i spray and leave on, will it be better to lock the room up until the fumes have fully dissipated?
-
yours more beautiful leh :good: mine is simple simple no design but will start to save up to buy your kind maybe when my sofa gives way will buy a rosewood sofa set
-
actually if we use the mrs mckenic on a regular basis will it prevent the buildup too? now getting worried coz my tiles are pretty white so dirty grout lines will be very OBVIOUS
-
hehehe, his stamps all very precious to him one dunno whether he will allow me to touch or not coz he collects china stamps, esp those very old ones remember he got one china stamp - black swan, which is so precious he only showed me once, see no touch somemore recently he sold some stamps to pay for his share of renovation so we told him to sell all of them coz we'd not know the actual value of his stamps and treat them like rubbish when he passes on
-
 you very funny leh your choice of cabinet laminates are interesting horizontal instead of vertical :good:
-
so clever leh :D more pix of the table with the glass top closeup of the carvings see it's 3D hehehe must be mine my dad was so happy coz he can finally have some proper place for his stamps and coins
-
hehehe, it's okay coz me have concrete support for my new home current home is a s/s sink with drainer so the whole sink is sitting on two concrete legs bit worried that the sink will give way so all chopping done on the floor stove support not so critical coz don't really use a lot of strength right? my new home dun have stove support leh price-wise, 4ft concrete support is $680 while 4ft bottom cabinet is $400

one thing about RPM is the higher it is, the more harsh it's on your clothes me using thomson now, usually stick to 500 and it's dry enough for me just air it for two hours and it's totally dry liao

WOW! which three are the ones you've shortlisted? have to agree they have such a wide selection of tiles didn't manage to go there but guess i'd have stuck with my present tiles

actually for starhub, you can go down and open an account, collecting the set-top box on the spot. this is termed as self-installation. even for additional set-top box, you can opt for them to deliver and set up for you or just go down to the shop and pick it up. the difference is only who connects the wire
-
guess the responsibility of cooking now sits squarely on your shoulders !!
-
you have a red kitchen !! swee
-
eh not very sure leh look out for them at places like home fix or daiso kind of stores it's for decorating bathroom tiles or cars but i think it will really 'spice' up your feature wall if you can find one you like !!

Budget Too Low ?
applefreak replied to Antz's topic in Renovation Contractors, Interior Designers & Suppliers Reviews
if you want storage maybe you want to consider doing full-height cabinets instead my bottom cabinet is only 6ft but have a 3ft full height to keep my stuff btw if you already have quite a fixed idea of what you want for your home maybe you want to consider a contractor instead? difference between contractor and ID is only the design part the rest is almost the same IDs tend to charge around 10% more for the design though it's FOC according to the contract !! -
hehehe me also have not shifted in yet my HHS is filled with things i've bought hmm, why want to removet the strips? maybe you want to consider putting decals on the laminates so it's give a different feel overall the feature wall is quite nice, might be a little plain that's why you didn't like it !! dun even have to be wink decals, those vinyl stickers will do the trick !!

i prefer concrete support coz heard of problems with smell when the sink is mounted on a wooden cabinet also, not sure if the wooden cabinet can withstand the combined weight of the sink and the cutting in the long run
