hmm that's what the hdb contractor did for me AFTER his workers laid the tiles knocking on EVERY single one to ensure that none is hollow for the record, if i paid $3m for a condo i'd EXPECT it to have perfect tiles my friend paid $700k for his condo and got the contractors to come down and rectify a small crack on the marble flooring honestly, if the contractor/ID can't lay tiles without hollowness then i'd say they shouldn't be in this business in the first place

guess it depends on your requirements one of the tile shop salesperson told me it contains quartz, which is a extremenly hard natural stone so won't scratch/stain/chip but $20psf for tiles is quite loh
