  1. spam chop :sport-smiley-004: love your layout, can have wet and dry kitchen :good:
  2. hello everyone, think it's time for another gathering think this sat one not on liao right? how about 16 Feb at my place?
  3. it's different from solid surface countertops solid surface are made of 100% acrylic aka plastic the Crystallized Glass compose more of natural forming stones quartz is known to be one of the hardest stone around, surpassing that of granite and marble (if i'm not wrong) also, solid surface is not as good as it's supposed to be heard quite a few encounters of staining, simply by putting objects on the surface
  4. btw, HDB provide free screeding leh, why ask your ID to do? if FOC then okay lah
  5. this is beautiful did you do the installation yourself? looks like a mighty big project
  6. hehehe coz i beo very very long time liao then follow her blog really closely coz it's my dream kitchen no lah, think they'll be more than happy that someone liked their design so much and it's not available commercially, if not i will start saving also hopefully someone will be able to do it, if not i gotta wait until become giraffe liao  8|
  7. a buffet hutch looks like this really like the look of this furniture but i have no space for it
  8. oh my goodness construction is booming and they are doing this :fire: luckily you saw, if not next time they push the blame to your ID better highlight this to your TO, most prob they've done this to others as well
  9. honestly, i'd go for bare minimum spent $17k on renovation (excluding flooring coz mine premium) for my EA and now i'm so glad that i didn't spend much coz i realise i didn't really know what i want if i had done a full-blown renovation, i'd regret a lot of things i'd suggest you do the bare minimum first, most important thing is DON"T take loan then when you've stayed there for around 5yrs, do another round of renovation if you're gonna continue staying there or sell the place coz after 5yrs you'll know exactly what you want, what is lacking and what suits your lifestyle most you wouldn't want to spend your EVERY weekend cleaning all the shiny laminates, mirrors and glass right? things that must be done 1. flooring - homo tiles will be good coz you've got a dog, laminate sure kenna scratch 2. sanitary fittings - now i'm living with the original hdb ones, absolutely fine 3. kitchen - do you cook or you only want hot water to make beverage? if you totally do not cook, then get those buffet hutch will be sufficient. at least if you renovate later won't have to tear down the still good cabinets guess i believe in spending money to enhance the effects of the renovation rather than spend all my money on things i can't move when i shift
  10. aiyo if really rich will just pay loh those high-earners i know all won't make any fuss over summons or scratches lor no money want to act rich :) btw, riims $900 each very expensive meh???
  11. are there any particular requirements or theme you have in mind? our home should be functional and beautiful maybe if you introduce the occupants a bit more we can give suggestions?
  12. no need to think, it's chunky-monkey's t-blog her kitchen is my dream kitchen  saw it there and fell hopelessly in love but each unit cost $1k+++ it got the hettich design award in 2007 but think as long as i don't produce it commercially to profit from it, won't sue me bah really very very good idea leh
  13. aiyo no money liao still see many many WANTs something i WANT for my kitchen something i WANT for my foyer any idea if a carpenter will be able to replicate these???
  14. how did the woman get her driving licence? it's an offence to even drive on the chevron line, let alone park on them !!
  15. really love her layout, esp without the STUPID thick square walls like the newer flats !! think i shall move to kim keat when i can sell my flat
  16. you referring to tapes? how much to hold 4kg? looking for something like that too but only found the adhesive hooks
  17. hang from the ceiling? !! how heavy is the painting? if less than 2kg can get the 3M adhesive hooks, quite not bad
  18. agree with you, but most important thing is kajua must feel comfortable bah if me i'd change the toilet door to the balcony, better flow esp when entertaining at home guests no need to watch through kitchen to get to the toilet, and so won't see the mess in the kitchen !!
  19. SIGH!!! no more BUY BUY BUY for me :P just got the reply from hettich, the cosario cost $1k+ per unit my plan was to get 2 of the 90cm ones, and make 6ft of wall cabinet to hold them that would mean $3k in total !! now got to tighten my belt and save like mad hopefully can save enough for it to do it this year :P but hor, it's really worth it leh check out the specs complete visible or invisible (depending on the ht of the front) simple installlation clear and good accessible storage capacity underneath the wall cabinet optimal access at wall-mounted fittings for worktop areas ergonomical motion sequence upper level remains always in a horizontal position i.e. no spilling from open boxes organise with simple adjustable dividers optional with light for illumination light closing by preset spring force automatic stop 2cm before snap fit to protect fingers
  20. eh, think the side a bit different only leh can't really say there's a marked difference between the two loh guess it depends on the price difference bah if got to pay $10 / $20 more for the s/s one i'd rather take the normal one !!
  21. nice 3D !! hate to do this but let me play devil's advocate the fridge hor, might have heat dissipation problem leh then the over next to the fridge might also affect the fridge if you bake
  22. then me how? turning 33 still don't have my own car
  23. yes i agree that's a great idea, didn't think of that you getting gas or eletric stove? if electric can do a pull out table, gas cannot liao
  24. the drawings are very nice, but a little impractical? for the kitchen, the fridge is wedged between two tall cabinets it'll be difficult for heat to dissipate, bad for the fridge in the long run oven next to fridge also not a very sound idea, the heat generated while baking might damage the fridge also, the stand-alone stove looks a little funny leh, where are you going to put pots with food temporarily to use the burner??? and hor, common bathroom no shower area ah? sorry to be such a spoil-sport just that i find that functionality is as important as looks though i have to admit that the design is really !!
