My mom asked me about how much my hubby earns... I always 'under declare'... same goes for my own salary. She will also asked me how much I make. For my mom - I know that she will - 1) Compare with her friends' kids, 2) ask me for more allowance, 3) ketok me for expensive meals/ gifts My in laws know how much my hubby earns cos he is very open to them and also know that they wont anyhow ketok him. But they do not know exactly how much I earn... only know (through one of hubby's kaypoh sis) that I earn about the same as the hubs. Both hubs and myself know exactly how much we each earn.

When I turned 21, hubby (then BF) brought me to a short getaway to Genting... We were young, not rich at all... hubby gave me 21 gifts, counting down to my actual birth date... small gifts but thoughtful ones. on actual day, we had a really nice romantic dinner in a revolving restaurant in Highlands hotel. Service was top-notch. Back in the room, had a surprise cake waiting from the hotel too. Over the years, there were many occasions shown on his thoughtfulness. 1 of the ex-job I had was to work late hours & sometimes during weekends/ public holidays. He would cook for me and bring it to my work place. Now that we have 2 kids, he would always let me sleep in and he would help to take care of the kids till I wake up. When I had to travel for work, he will always help me to care for our kids without much complains. (Unless one of them pisses him off too much. ) Instead of romance from the courting days, hubby has now turn into thoughtfulness. We just celebrated our 12yrs anniversary a few mths ago... and till now, I am thankful to the Gods above for giving me such a great hubby. Personally, instead of romance, I would prefer to have a thoughtful man. Someone who always think of me above all others.

sigh.... I agree with some of the members here... its maciam life imprisonment sentence the way you put it. I still hope you'll find happiness in your marriage soon since this is the path you've chosen.

Hv you thot of the following: - if you went through the marriage wif A with your heart with B. Is it fair to A? - will you be able to give your all to A? if you dunno what you want, then take a break away from it all & really think abt it. This is a marriage we are talking abt. Not child's play. You will be spending the rest of your life with this person. Have children with him. Sleep next to him for the rest of your life. If you dun love him, then dun get married. Only yourself can answer. Forget abt obligations & what nots. If you go through it all & ended up hating yr spouse, wont tt be worse? you'll be quarrelling everyday over the smallest issue cos you just simply cant stand him. You'll start thinking tt its his fault tts why you get married, etc... So do think over it carefully... its a choice tt will last you a life time.

So counting down right? Where will you be delivering? I delivered #1 in Thomson Medical Ctr. Nurses were quite encouraging when they heard tt I want total BF. 1st 2 time they wheel bb in, they even stayed back to make sure that I latched on bb correctly. I'm now abt 4.5mths preggie with #2. & as usual, will be total BF bb. In fact, I've already went & bought my electric pump! hahaha.... talk abt kiasu!

you can also buy online. I bought from www.motherhood.com before. Prices are cheaper than those that I buy from SG even adding in the shipping costs. Other than that, I've bought from Bloom's & Spring's. You can check out Suntec Level 3 also... near to the Toys R Us. They hv a few Maternity wear shops there. Just be prepared that Maternity clothes in SG dun come cheap. Other places you can ck out is probably @ United Square or a shop called Thyme (they hv a corner in Taka near the bb section.)

No secret really... just alot of preserverance, determination + stubbornness? !! Some ppl find drinking loads of water + eating Fernugreek helps. Some ppl swear by drinking papaya soup, etc..... I still think end of the day, its how much you want to BF yr baby.

I totally agree.... My hubby & I have a pact. We do NOT contradict each other in front of our children. If I am too harsh or wrong - hubby will let me go through the flow. Then when I've cooled down, he will pull me 1 side & tell me but NEVER in front of the kids & Vice versa when I feel that he's too harsh. We dun want our kids to know / learn how to manipulate us and I know our little girl does try sometimes. We usually find out soon enough as we've learn to check with each other.... so that our words or actions will not contradict the other parent. End of the day, the parents has to discuss & come out with a parenting style that suits both & stick with it. Fundamental is never to contradict each other in front of the little kids. They may be young but they are **** smart!

You definitely need to get the btls & Steriliser ready... even if you are on total BF unless u are not working then u can skip the btls liao lah.... o.wise you'll hv to express at work then during the day, you can ask the bb sitter to feed expressed breast milk to yr bb. As for getting ready a can of FM... its all up to you. For us, we did but end up throwing the can away.

Flowers all die liao lor... they are cut flowers arranged in a pot... lasted me 2 weeks ah! really really big & beautiful!.... sigh... but now no more liao lor! !!

Here's my story: Hubby & I were still working in the co where we got to knew each other. As I was in the Customer Care dept, we had to worked very late & most times on public holidays too. abt 2 weeks b4 Xmas, he brought me to Lee Hwa & said he wanted to get me couple rings for Xmas present. Not suspecting anything, I said ok. Aft selecting the rings, he said wanna engrave our initials in the rings. So the Sales Asst said can but need 1-2weeks since now busy period. I said as long as by Xmas eve can collect can liao. So we agreed tt the rings will be ready by Xmas eve... On Xmas eve, I hv to work later than usual (everyone went bk at 12:30pm since 1/2 day.) So already quite grumpy lah. Told hubby to go & collect the rings & wait 4 me at home. Then later he called me at 3pm & said the rings not ready.... I flared up & scolded him. Told him shld hv insist tt the Sales Asst give us the rings since on the receipt already stated the date/time mah.... Then at abt 4pm he called me again to ask what time I can reach home cos we hv dinner appt with a few friends at 6:30pm... fr my work place to his place, I need at least 1 hr leh... I hate to be rushed by other ppl one... so naturally I got more pissed lah... When I reach home, it was already 5:30pm liao... so rush like mad. I was very very grumpy by then. When we reached Novena MRT station, I pointed to the direction tt we need to walk to Royal Hotel where we are mtg our friends, he said shld be the other direction... ( & points the path on the empty field behind the mrt station)... I **** pek chek & said whatever lah.... but I still felt the other direction is the correct one in quite a harsh tone... Then while walking on tt path, he kept looking backwards & forwards.... suddenly he sidestep me & kneel in front of me with the ring tt he said he din managed to get! Then ask me nervously whether I would want to spend the rest of my life with him.... By then, I was crying liao.... & said yes.... As we walked hand-in hand towards Royal Hotel, I suddenly stopped & said, "Way! No flowers leh!" I want to retract my answer liao! !! He quickly said cannot! Will give me a flower surprise on 26th Dec... so I said ok lor... On 26th Dec - he sent a large pot of Holland Roses to my office.... With a note.... U cannot back out now!

Gendon - I'm not noble lah... its something that I see that I have extra so why not? Esp when my freezer already full of my EBM! Think positive. Tell yourself no problems one lah! Sure have more than enough milk.... I believe mindset is very impt. Of cos hving a supportive hubby & family will definitely help get you in the right frame of mind also lah. U know. I was actually quite mean. At the time of the birth of my little girl, there was a case of a woman jumping to her death with her baby cos of post-natal depression. My MIL was the one who did my confinement. During the initial days, she kept asking me "Milk enuf or not? Not enuf use FM lah!" Until 1 fine day, I got pek chek & told my hubby - "You ask yr mother to quit asking me to feed our girl FM hor.... otherwise later I also suffer from post natal blues & jump down with baby ah!" Aft that, my MIL never asked anymore liao. In fact, aft 3 months when she sees my girl again, she was amazed at how chubby she has become. From then on, she kept telling her friends/ relatives tt my girl was a BF bb & encourage every1 to BF too...

It's outside texture is similiar to Ikea's chix wings. Taste wise I always like to add more marinate as I feel it enhances the taste. Of cos the simplest marinade is just some salt/ soy sauce + pepper. I guess with all recipes we adjust to suit our own taste buds lah.

1 other one I can think of: Ingredients: Chicken Wings Light Soy sauce White Pepper Sesame Oil Brown Sugar Oyster Sauce Cooking Wine Ginger Juice (optional) Sunshine Self Raising Flour. Method: - Marinate Chicken wings with all ingredients except Sunshine Self Raising Flour for at least 2 hours. - Preheat Oven to about 200 degrees. - Coat marinated Chicken wings with self raising flour & put in Oven to bake for about 15minutes or till brown & crisp. - Serve with cold slice cucumbers. Enjoy!

Our bamboo plant has been outside for abt 2 weeks now... so far so good.... We still dun dare to leave our shoes outside tho'.
