Like the laminates that you chose for your kitchen.... your reno is progressing well... I have yet to choose our IDs/ contractor tho' have more or less decided on the wet works contractor... Now headache on carpentry & whether I really need ID or not...

Wow! You have major reno works? takes about 5-6mths to complete the renovation? I only gave my contractor abt 6-7weeks... He did warned me that he wont be able to finish all at a go and likely have to be like 80% complete... then the rest of the 20% do when I already moved in kind....

We have 4 toilets. All must redo since everything is in its original condition... That's why we are thinking of doing overlay instead of all the hacking... reckon can easily save $2-3K here...

If you have already decided to pay the agent's fee to him, then you will have to work out with him on the payment terms. For my last house transaction, we did agreed to pay our agent her fees over a 6 months' period... interest free installment. She was kind enough to let us do that and of course, we signed an agreement to commit that we will pay lah. All depends on how flexible your agent wants to be. Good luck!

Not sure if it works but old folks say put in charcoal to absorb the smell aft reno for a week or so... supposedly help to adsorb the smell wor...

Hi! Thanks so much for sharing. We are on a tight tight budget. As usual so much to do but so little moo-lah. Everything is still very preliminary now... just trying to spin off ideas on how to cut down my reno costs. The house is abt 15years old now... was told tt so far, no leakage issues (touch wood)... so we'll see...

If you have not found one, I can recommend my agents too (also comes in a pair, 2 guys) but you only pay 1 commission. They sold off my HDB at the price I am happy with during the 1st viewing. Arranged for 8 different sets of ppl to come view the house. Also helped me found my new home within 3 days of viewing (spread out on weekends).

got a silly question here.... I see the ceiling fans have different no. of blades (2, 3, 5, 6), etc... Is it cos more no. of blades = more wind/ cooler? Thanks!
