totsboy - so clever! My place is around there. Ours is considered as A&A. total in damages is ALOT! 19 Sep - went & do our "open door" ceremony & praying. reached at 11am, only managed to leave around 3.45pm. Also, met up with the contractor, carpenter, plumber/ electrician & aircon guy... Areas that we initially thot tt we do not need to do, end up still have to do. Also, the contractor told us the parquet flooring around the bathroom areas & near the windows are in very jialat condition. In fact, some spots already started to rot... die lor... end up sure have to do patchwork repair. Not only that, now very very scared got termintes Also, I spotting the door frame to the toilets are also rotting... I can already see more $$$ flying out the window liao. Contractor also told me tt the wall look that I wanted, if I really wanted to do, its gg to be very ex... So I think we just gonna scrap tt idea liao... sigh....

Sunbird73 - Don't think they requested for the soil investigation report... tho' it might have been handled by our PE already... We negotiated a lump sum to include all drawings & submission to URA & BCA so tt we dun have to headache. totsboy - I am near the extreme east. My 2nd floor extension including false ceiling & parquet floor is $17.8K

Both URA & BCA Approval given liao. Keys also collected already. Tomorrow will be our "open house cum praying ceremony".... Now the wait for the reno to start is almost over...

When do you get the pest control chap to come in to do the checks? I think we are gg to engage Rentokill to come in.

ya... cos need to be able to pass the BCA inspection... also, I am knocking down the frontage wall... all the little little things adds up... I just hope that when the reno eventually starts, there will not be too many adds on. (pray hard)

LOL... ya, the mahjong area is very important! We are doing the reno works before we moved in or at least we try to finish the wet works and as much carpentry works as we can possibly squeeze in before we move in.

Minerat - By the time we finish our reno, it will be high ceiling no more liao... As we are gg to extend the 2nd floor to build a balcony out all the way. The 2nd hall will be my ah lao's Mahjong area.

LOL... as with all renos, Moolah always not enough and the list of stuff that we wanna do is always not short enough. My original budget was only 100K for the long list of stuff tt I wanna do. Ended up, our primary, secondary & also my "Si Fang Qian" all also must dig out...

Your current gate looks nice! My gate is already over 10yrs old... so definitely going to change. Also not sure on whether to opt for swing or side...

My recent case - to URA took about 2-3weeks. now my application is with BCA... 1 week has passed, still waiting for approval. I think this one will take about 2weeks.

Hi ehspro! We are doing our "open house/ praying ceremony" on 19 Sep, then reno will start on following Monday liao. Wet works contractor already firmed up, carpentry also firmed up already. Now, we will be looking for electrical/ plumping works guys. I'll email you my quote tmrw.
