Got a flat from the balance of sales flat in Queenstown. We were the last few people to select a flat before it closes. So got the smallest flat but luckily still on relatively high floor. We have yet to collect my keys cos of the Ghost month. Was supposed to collect tomorrow but decide to delay to a month later. I was advised that nothing should be done during the month to avoid disturbing the 'good brothers' since they only come out once year, and we don't want to accidentally 'nail' them during reno. Good thing my friend pointed out to me that we should not take the keys and start paying mortgage if we are going to leave it empty for a month. I have looked at some of the posted photos and the yucky orange tiles. So opiang! And feels irritated that I have to spend money to re do! I seriously pray I don't have to wait 3months to rectify defects, if any. Gosh...imgaine having to pay the mortgage for an empty house. The flat looks so small. Sigh! The only redeeming factor is that it's brand new. I'm just starting to scour the net for ideas and all. Not getting ID to save money. We are looking to do a Scandinavian theme which means maybe the doors have to be changed!! Another added expense!
