Hmm, then shldn't be too bad. Though u'll have a challenge booking the ROM date if u're planning to hold it at the ROM itself. To save yourself the hassle and stress, consider holding ur ROM at a private venue instead.

Actually next year there are 2 lunar 5th months, so 20 Sep 2009 falls on the 2nd day of the lunar 8th mth if I remember correctly. I've also booked my banquet for next year and wanted 20 Sep 2009, but was told that the date has been fully booked. So, u better move fast.

Hey pongy, I'm not in the Queenstown selection but I would like to highlight that my fiance and I did not receive the package at all for our Bedok selection and it was only when we called HDB on the 1st day of the selection that we were told that the package has been sent out and my fiance had to rush down to pick up a duplicate set of the documents. Luckily for us, we've been doing our research online, the only things we really needed were the application forms. Lesson learnt: Bug HDB actively coz u never know if u're missing something.

Hi yokoyoko, yes big orange is right. I was chatting with my sales officer and he said that the estate will be completed in July this year. But when I talked to the renovation contractors, one of them told me that his son works for HDB and he was told that it'll be completed in August. Sooo, I wouldn't take their word for it, though from its progress, I suspect everything will be done by 4th quarter of this year. Definitely won't have to wait till 2010

Oh if u're wondering about the uncompleted blocks, the officer did mention that they're estimated to be completed sometime in July.

Dun think there's an estate name. BUT we had to fill in our new address in one of the forms and I noticed that our street name is Bedok Central. I expected it to be New Upp Changi Road since the surrounding blocks have this street name.

About the ROM deferment, from what I know, it is possible to extend up to 6 months from the date of key collection. At least my cousin managed to do that. Basically HDB isn't that strict about it, as long as u are able to show reasonable proof that u're intending to ROM by a certain date, they'll be more than happy to push back the deadline for u.

I feel that the takeup rate is better than expected, which is good for HDB and bad for us who are waiting to select our unit *LOL* If cost is a concern, then you'll have to consider your options throughly before making the decision. Yes the prices are a tad high, but then again u have to consider that these units are in an established estate with amenities nearby. You can't compare the prices of Bedok flats with those that are in newer estates right?

Hi, yes, apparently its 15 per day, for the bedok 4 rooms. Had to make a trip down to HDB because of some issues and happened to see the final queue number of the day and it was 15. Hehehe!
