Just out of curiosity did anyone hear a bunch of noise makers on Monday night (1 Feb)? I was totally knocked out from exhaustion, but my hubby said there were some people making alot of noise until someone got fed up and threw a waterbomb at them. Peace prevailed thereafter. I was totally amused when I heard about it.

Everyone's entitled to their opinions, but personally, I'm excited to see how Bedok Mall will turn out. Sure it can't compete with the shopping haven in Tampines, but that's hardly an apple to apple comparison. I was very surprised when I learnt that Spageddies is taking over the Burger King space, feels very out of place, but who knows, maybe it's a sign of things to come. Soon we'll see the ah-peks and aunties slurping up pasta just as comfortably as they would be with their bak chor mee.

Waah, that's an old old pix of that area...when it was still part carpark and part grass patch. I remember gingerly parking my car in that open air carpark after I had just gotten my driving licence. Heheh That's disappointing. I liked their hokkien mee. It's one of the more decent stalls in that kopitiam *sighs*

We have a spider infestation in ours. Dunno where they're coming from but there's really a non-ending stream of them appearing and re-appearing in our unit. But then again, better to have spiders than other pesty insects.

Yep, my fiance's a pretty IT-centric kind of guy and we're both pretty heavy users of the internet. So we would like to have a LAN so that we can be wired up throughout the house. However, we would like to know if anyone else has done so, so that we can find out how others have planned the cable-laying

Hi I'm in the same situation. Was supposed to take possession on 2 July, however, after speaking to our sales officer, we learnt that we MUST produce the marriage cert upon taking possession, thus we had to delay our appointment date till after our ROM. But it wasn't too bad for us coz we've planned a long time ago to have our ROM on this particular date. I don't think there's any way to wriggle out of that condition since it's clearly stated. But still, no harm checking with your sales officer and find out if there are any other alternatives. Good luck!

Hihi guys, time to update again, jst went to check MyHDBpage and found that our appointment for signing the lease and taking possession has been fixed. Hoping to push it back a little...we were hoping to get the keys later in the year since we're not planning to move in yet. See how bah.

Hi lovelee, that's the Additional Housing Grant which is an additional subsidy for 1st time house-owners who earn a combined monthly income of less than $4000. Of course there's a whole bunch of criteria as well, but that's the gist of it

Hmm, cant confirm but can provide supporting possible evidence coz I applied for AHG but haven't received any notification about key collection though quite a number of 220Cers have already gotten their appointments. Thanks DSA, have joined as well

Hey big orange, We're planning to skip the feature wall and tv console. Instead, we're planning to get one of those tv console cabinet as we don't intend to mount the tv and also, future hubby is a game freak so we'll need loads of storage to store his game consoles as well as our dvd collection. The shoe cabinet is a question mark at the moment. FH is a game freak, I'm a shoe freak, I need storage for my shoes. Haha! So still considering our best option for this.
