I called them on 060507 Sunday n asked them when will the sale end? A lady named Jenny says its only till today. So I said I am unable to make it today but I can drop by on 080507 Tuesday so can I get it at the same price for the Manhatten console. She says she needs to check and put me on hold. After a while, she came back to the line and says ok. Will reserve for me till Tuesday on an exceptional basis. I was then thinking, now thats what I call customer service. Today 080507, I received a sms from Jenny telling me sorry, the console is back to normal pricing, no more half price. I was quite pissed off and replied I am utterly disappointed with your company's empty promises. She still have the cheek to reply me saying its not empty promises. The newspaper adv indicated offer only for 2days so they must save their company's name by sticking to it. Then y tell me it can be done in the 1st place when I call them on Sunday? By doing so, wouldnt she have already tarnish her company's image if there is one in the first place??? I would have been ok if she tell me it cant be done right from the beginning.

wah lao! tis is taking so long.... i oso dunno change my mind on the reno concepts n ideas like a dozen times already n the unit is still not ready. Think i am really getting impatient n my ID is fainting as both me n my wife change ideas like changing clothes.

Hi Neighbor! My unit is 308 from Blk91. Great to see that you have already started reno! And after seeing your photos, you finally solve my problems!! You see previously, in my own T-blog --> http://www.renotalk.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=7781 I was asking if anyone here knows if its possible to level the bay area so that at least it is flat as some folks from the SGBrides forum said that it cannot be level with cement as it will add on unneccessary weight to the whole building if every unit with bay window is doing that due to some safety issue. But contractor actually said can use plaster (the kind of material to make false ceiling which is much more lighter than cement in weight) to level up the slope instead. Thus may I check with u, did u use plaster or cement to level up your bay window and how much did your ID quote u? And btw, which is your unit?

i tink my legs will shake if i go up to the roof top. haha

Not necessary must be dark sleazy kind of designs but towards those sleek, futuristic neon designs.. Have been to lounges for inspirations but problems is cannot take photos lah.. somemore, too dark to take any pics without flash. haha.

Anyone has done this before or have any reference to where i can research on for my new home? I am kindda interested in this theme and need more inspiration and ideas on how abt doing it. Believe it will be kindda modern comtemporary with that lounge or pub feel..

I signed up with Samuel from Gplan. Me still waiting for keys collection so reno hasnt started but I must say Samuel is a very patient guy. He listens to your suggestions and provide good advices as well. So far, his designs are quite extraordinary as well. Will be updating in my blog once reno starts.

Hi PPL, I need to seek your advice here. Got these photos from fellow neighbors at SGBrides forum and realised that the bay window areas are sloping downwards which is quite redundant cos it cant be used as a sitting area neither u can use it to display decorative items by the area. Any idea whether is it possible to level the bay area so that at least it is flat? Mine selection is on the 2nd day pm slot & we are only looking at unit 314 and 308 at this particular level. During the 1st day, 314 is already taken up for this level so we are abit sianz cos what is the possibility of getting just that particular 1 unit on the 2nd day pm slot somemore! Phew, luck was on our side and we manage to get it. Heart almost popped out that day. Do show updates and your pics for sharing ya? Thanks for your photos in your blog. Its very informative!

Yes, you may request not to have a savings acct or just leave the balance as zero in the acct. However when the late fees or interest charges comes into the picture, it actually affects your own credit records in credit bureau. Of cos u may request for waiver, however if its too often, you might have difficulties in getting any other facilities from the banks in the future cos this report is shared among all the banks in Singapore.

Im from BLK 91 and just some advices/comments if u r getting housing loans from banks. Its actually quite a norm practice for banks to request for a 3mths notice in advance for full redemption. Also if u have arrange for CPF deduction for the monthly installments, in any event if there is insufficent funds in your CPF acct, it is also a norm practice for banks to deduct directly from the giro acct. Its all stated in black & white in the letter of offer so if any clarifications is required, ask before you sign on the dotted line and not after you sign. Lets just face the truth, banks are not HDB & its the industry practice. This is harsh but its reality.

Thank you everybody. Ya, for a new 4rm flat it is expensive. Its more than $300k for my level.. We have already appointed Samuel from G'Plan as our ID. Understand Kelvin is the popular one here but I am pretty sure Samuel will not be disappointing me as well. I am not only anxious. The suspense is killing me. Wondering abt the type of doors, gates, kitchen flooring, toilet tiles that HDB will be providing and so on... As this unit is made up of 2 studio apartments, level 2 to 20 are the studio apartments & level 21 to 40 are the 4rm units. However view is facing Holland village area thus not as great as compared to some other units which are facing Orchard area. Nonetheless, we are very happy that we managed to get a unit of our choice which the level co-incides with our wedding date.

Nope, its 1 of those new 40-storey flats opposite commonwealth mrt. The floorplan looks big only but its just 90sqm. Looks can be deceiving.. We are expecting to get the keys within these 2mths time. Still some construction works going on everytime I passby commonwealth mrt. Cant wait to get the keys!! (taken from HDB) (taken by NaNa)

After reading this forum for the past 2mths and learning so much on renovation, I have finally decided to join in the fun and start a blog of our new 4rm flat at Tanglin Halt aka commonwealth. So firstly, here comes the floor plan. And also our 1st purchase for our new home. (Always thought its gonna be some furniture or electrical appliances)
