r u referring to their online catalouge or physical catalouge? cos black n white are not under any series. if u refer to the physical nippon catalouge, its just shown there as black paint and white paint.

its pure white by nippon. not having any shades of white at all.

ash grey is a very light grey color which is like a shade of white. I have it for my room in my mom's place. Thus if u like darker shades dun use ash grey. its too light to my liking.
