Help Needed For Luma
ommph posted a topic in Landed & Condo Private Properties Renovation Discussion
Hi all, I need to check if anybody in here is staying in Luma and has the drainage key for the concealed floor trap in the kitchen. I have lost the key and urgently need a replacement when returning the place to the landlord. Appreciate if anyone can take a picture of it so that I can go n buy it. If anyone has any idea where to buy, it will be even better. Thanks! -

Hi, I have a client whose is facing noise problem from Zouk near their place. The noise came from the cars honking after 2am when the cars are trying to get out of Jiak Kim Street. Contractor had proposed to put up thick curtains, instead of changing to double layered glass since the windows are sliding doors. Anyone can recommend reliable curtain maker? Thanks in advance!

Need English-Speaking Carpenter To Make Customized Bookshelf
ommph replied to truffulatree's topic in Home Furnishings

Hi All, Need your advices for this issue. I have just purchased a 707 Compact instant water heater and a Grohe Shower Set. (Wanted to install gas water heater but strong opposition from mum...) After installation, i realised the water pressure is very low from the Grohe shower head. So i changed the shower head to the one that comes with the instant water heater. And the water pressure improved...at least when you put the shower head lying down, the water can go as high as 10cm but with the Grohe, the water is not even 5cm. I called up Heritage, where I bought the shower set from, they said it is my water pressure issue. After I had explained the change of shower head, they said the hole should be smaller in the original 707 shower head which is why the water spray is more powerful. I called up my contractor and he said it is because I am using instant water heater...... So..I am now very confused. Anyone can advise me on this???????

Mine is at Bedok. Not near MRT but near to the famous Bak Chor Mee. Val is near to 400K n COV is 33K!! 3rm flat niah.... Yes, 1 of the rooms has no window but the seller put up a panel of clear glass in between to let sunlight come in. But I intend to replace the clear glass with 2 sided mirror to make the room look bigger. Now only 3.1m by 2.73m per room. Hard to explain how he mod but will try to post both floor plans. For flooring, I went direct to installer. He can be found in this forum. Mine is Burmese teak which is on clearance. Odd size too. Think my cost-saving also due to the current floor is using carpet so there is no need for hacking or plywood. If you are keen, I can PM his contact to you.

Wow...renovation costs are real high these days after reading lots in renotalk. I have made a purchase of a 3rm flat that is the same size as yours but the seller had done up the place in a simple and cosy theme and hacked away the store room. He had also did modifications to the place and now, there are 3 bedrooms instead of 2....legally. Don't intend to do much but also need to spend around $4K for minor touch up and mod. Another $1.3K for timber flooring in the 2 common rooms. This is after I paid a high price for the flat. Need to eat biscuits for the next 5 years liao...anyone care to join me to do bulk purchase of biscuits???? Good luck in your nego with the contractor.

No advice at all? or no one as silly as me to put outdoor lighting indoor??? This is the light that I will be putting throughout living and dining. http://www.deslamps.co.uk/arezzo-7573-stainless-steel-outdoor-wall-light-p-692.html

Hi All, Just wanna check if anyone has used outdoor lightings for indoor? Any adverse effect? Anything to take note? Thanks in advance!

Maybe your subconscious mind will be worrying about the pendant light dropping down on you when one is asleep? I mean no one will really feel good about standing or lying below anything that can create an illusion of possibility to drop, especially when you know you cannot move at all if it really happens? Just my 2 cents' worth.
