  1. wow, Blueriverview, zero COV, you are so lucky! As you can see those beautiful houses at T-blog, these owners spend so much $ and time to renovate their house, some even have 'blum system' for their kitchen cabinets, I'm sure they will wish to sell their house at a high COV in the future and won't compromise selling their house in future at zero COV right. So if seller spend alot on renovation and the house condition and location is good,it is reasonable to pay them a sum of COV at market rate. Therat Glad to hear that you bought a house with no blocking view and it's windy! Good neighbours too! That is considered good 'fengshui' house hee. Congrats! It's indeed worth it!
  2. Hi Like you white kitchen cabinet! Very nice! Is it glossy laminate? Will there be any finger print when you open the cabinet or any "waverly reflection" from side view? Hmm, I also like white kitchen cabinets but I wonder will white surface turns yellowish after sometime? Think you have moved in more almost 2yrs? Any tips to share on maintaining white kitchen hee Tks
  3. My neighbour sold her 3rm flat at top floor for $40k COV! Her asking COV was $48K. Hmm, I wonder any forummers here ever pay above $40k COV for their house??
  4. If we are buyers, we of course hope that can buy a unit at low COV or even zero COV heehee right? On the other hand, if we are sellers, we of course hope to sell at higher COV especially if you have invested more than $30k for your renovation, paid for a COV when you purchase the house and the house is still in a good move-in condition. I think it also depends on the location and the supply and demand for that location. Location like Tiong Bahru, Redhill, Clementi housing with higher COV, 30k-60k is not surprising amount at all. Generally, Marsilings, Woodlands, Teck Whye area housing are cheaper with lower COV ranging 10k-20k.
  5. Hi Like your nice white kitchen cabinet! What kind of material is that? Is it glossy white laminate? Will see any finger print or not heehee? Will there be any "waverly" reflection due to glossy surface? Thinking of doing a white kitchen cabinet in future too!
  6. This quotation is detailed and stated the cost clearly which is good as this will avoid any miscommunication during reno process. Are you engaging the svc of ID or contractor?
  7. Hi It's not easy to find a "right" house with the "Wow!This is it!" delighted kind of feeling when you enter the house for house viewing right. If you really like the house and you gonna stay in the house for long term, say 10years down the road and you keep thinking of the house after you left the place, then I think you should really consider the house. Of course there are other factors to consider such as location wise, it is convenient with many amenities around, it is within walking distance to MRT, bus stop etc. If you don't mind location far from MRT, you can go for house which is further away say have to take feeder bus to central but with lower COV. Or will you buy a house which is of a better location, more convenient, near to MRT but with higher COV? Normally house which is located at a more convenient location near to MRT will attract more potential buyers. So need to think of long term too. For me, I will prefer a location which is within walking distance to MRT to save time on travelling and can have more beauty sleep
