my hubby very interested in the mattress and pillow oso.. but very ex ex ex.. last time tempur used to have overlay.. as in a thin layer of tempur foam that u can place over the mattress.. cheaper than the mattress yet u can have the effect of tempur.. but heard from the salesperson that they r not selling anymore cos the effect is not as good as the mattress.

ya.. me and sunboi stays 2 blocks away.. the insulation upgrade is fr 3/8" to 1/2" inverter system is more efficient in delivering the cold air needed.. and it helps to save the earth!! hahaha.. if can afford, get the better option loh..

haha, my fren is using a small piece of tempur cushion as her wrist pad when using the mouse.. haha

I thought nowadays G23 is the common diameter for copper piping? how come they give u G24 only? but at least they give u 1/2" insulation I top up from G23 to G22 for $60.. and upgrade to 1/2" insulation for $120.. I am getting sys 3 Toshiba Inverter.. actually my hubby and I were comtemplating between inverter and non-inverter as well, in the end we settled for Inverter.. as we can afford the "better" option. So, as for inverter or non-inverter, its dependent on your budget loh.. see how much U wan to pay more up-front so that U need no worry abt the utilities bill after. or get non-inverter and regulate ur usage after U get ur mthly bills..

RENO DAY FOUR Homogenous tiles laid in bomb shelter! No pix cos was raining when we reached.. so very dark in the BS. Went up to an unit on level 6.. saw that the owner who r a couple, hacked the walls of the study room and replaced with glass.. very nice !! makes the whole area looks very spacious (the owner only spent 30K for the whole reno loh!).. almost tempted me to call up my ID and request to do the same.. but seems like its a bit too late leh.. cos tiles are being laid liaoz.. haiz.. hubby also trying to convince me not to do glass area cos i will need to maintain.. !! i think mayb the most I will see if I can put up full height mirror at the dining area.. really worried that the whole house will look cluttered with my 2.9m long sofa and pool table.. tomolo.. will need to go Ikea to source out our spotlight and the pictures that we r going to display !! another tiring day ahead..

my father told me to ask HDB to complete the stainless steel water piping lines.. they changed the water pipes to stainless steel ones but they did not link up the pipe to the toilet bowl.. so cannot flush.. if I get my ID to complete the piping.. i need to pay them!

RENO DAY TWO lighting points done up by my Lao Pei... reached our house at 6.30pm.. there was one worker doing wet works at kitchen preparing to lay the tiles.. not so much progress yet..

ya loh.. if not my ID quoted me $280 to change the toilet door.. the plastic bifold door at the kitchen is not durable one.. almost all the house that i've been to with the HDB white plastic door, are faulty! Either the lock is stuck or the handle is broken off.. really cannot make it leh.. even my the toilet door at my ID's house is also spolit! hahahaha

oh.. i can get it from tile shops ah? tot I can find it at places that sell water features Thanks for the prompt reply~

I got most of my lights from Joevin. Lights Zone and Dreamlights are under same partners.. cos we din see any lights we liked den Joevin brought us opp the road to Lights Zone. We got 5 Germany made, medium sized PLC (2 tubes), 2 small PLC, 2 UFO lights for guest rooms, 1 pendent light for MBR, 5 square lights with 'plastic' (unbreakable) covers, 1 milo can, 1 simple light for bomb shelter, 2 ceiling fans and 1 door bell from him for $1270.. its a very reasonable price that we gave up looking further down the Balestier Road Will strongly recommend Joevin as he is very patient in going through what we need.. din know that choosing lights requires so much knowledge!

RENO offically started today.. suppose to start on MON but due to the discovery of hollow part at the ceiling.. it had been postponed. Met up with ID yesterday.. he proposed his design to us.. so exciting.. cant wait to see the perspectives turning to real life!! RENO DAY 1 went to check the progress... the workers only did the wiring only.. tiles not laid yet! so disappointing..

Hi Jessi, U can go to Dream Lights, 317 Balestier Road and Lights Zone opp them (owned by same partners). Look for Joevin Neo.. I bought my lights from him.. Me, hubby and my parents walked the whole stretch of Balestier Road and in the end settled all our lights and ceiling fans with him.. Joevin is very nice and went through all the lighting points and lighting considerations with us! The price he quoted us was oso very reasonable.. $1270 for 2 ceiling fans, 7 PLC (germany made), 5 simple 'plastic' lights, 2 UFO lights, 1 dining table lights, 1 penchant light for MBR, 1 milo can, 1 plain light for bomb shelter and 1 door bell (not the electronic kind..) I think I have to thank my mum for squeezing him very dry and got us the best offer! hahaha

have to pay $50 each.. I chose the 2 panels instead of the 4 panels.. cos simpler design mah actually quite true la.. it oso depends on how we use the appliances.. have to sayang them loh.. A/c den mayb need to service regularly..

i reported that the common toilet door was stained yellow.. den the HDB contracter changed it to the bifold door at $50 each. Din asked him to change the MBR toilet door, yet he act smart and change for me at another $50 oso..

actually i still liked the toilet door at the MBR one leh.. too bad that Uncle Ah soon took it away

Latest Damage $2764 Toshiba Sys 3 Inverter with upgrade to 1/2" insulation and copper pipe grade 22 and additional 4 yrs unlimited repair warranty. Reason for changing mind again is bcos the total cost for Toshiba after the upgrade is within our budget !! the $50 toilet door from HDB!! mai hiam buai pai la.. there r 2 layer of flim.. the inner layer is very thin.. after that layer is peeled off, the acrylic is actually quite bright.. will need to wait till the reno is completed den can show its 'true colour'
